Casa Cascada Mayan Bungalow 60 meters from the beach
Playa del Carmen house

“Absolutely the best place to stay” I have spent more that one vacation in Playa Del Carmen and this is my second trip to Casa Cascada. In July of last year we went down to swim with the whale sharks. We had an incredible experience in which the owner of the home was able to assist us in booking the trip. Swimming with the whale sharks and then enjoying a relaxing evening by the pool was magical. The home, grounds, amenities, views!! are all spectacular. Our recent trip down was no exception. Very well kept and easy walking distance to the beach and downtown. This is a jewell worth experiencing!

“Great stay at Casa Limon!” We really liked our stay at Casa Limon. It was three of us, a couple and our friend. Casa Limon had all we needed: comfy beds, plenty of space, good kitchen with utensils, hot water in the shower and a working wi-fi. In the backyard we could hang the hammock for reading during the day and sit around the table in the evenings with a bottle of wine. The house is a bit far away from the center, but buses run frequently and taxi isn't that expensive either. And in the area there are plenty of restaurants and stores, so there's no need to go to the center every day. Also the Grand Museo de Mundo Maya and Plaza Grande (a big shopping mall) are only a few walkable kilometers away.

“Excellent villa - Pool to yourself!” I and 5 friends stayed here for a week from June 1st. The villa is fantastic - I was lucky enough to get the Master Suite which is a fantastic size, had two wardrobes, an en suite, a fantastic huge bed and of course, Air Conditioning. The other rooms were also a good size with air Conditioning as well. The pool is fantastic as we found out from Daniel that only 2 of the villas in the complex are rentals so you pretty much have the pool to yourselves all day - it was because of this that we hardly went to the beach! The villa is in a fantastic location for the beach and had a convenience store and a pharmacy just outside the complex. The complex itself is literally opposite to the entrance to Secrets - The Vine hotel which can be seen from anywhere in Cancun. A short walk takes you to a mall and a fantastic Mexican Grill Would recommend this to anyone considering it. Daniel is always available on email and was very friendly at all times. He was able to recommend nearby restaurants and bars and nothing was too much trouble. He was there to meet us when we arrived at the Villa and the Security Guys based at the entrance to the complex were able to arrange taxis and also hold the keys for us when the group went to different attractions. I can't recommend this enough

Casa Nuestra-Private 3BR Luxury Home with-Own Pool
Cozumel house
3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“Fantastic vacation! We want to return to Cozumel some day.” It is titled Luxury Home. That says it all. My husband and I had a wonderful time in this luxurious home. It had all of the amenities one could possibly ask for. It truly was a home away from our home. All of the comforts in life, from soft thick towels, lounge chairs, great variety of Dvd's,water cooler, beverage cooler for the beach, excellent information book for restaurants, diving, maps.. were all included. The property manager, was very kind and helpful. Maid service was excellent. The only thing to change would be to provide a bigger BBQ. We highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone who visits Cozumel.

“Be warned!!!” Having stayed at Casa de angeles for three weeks I thought it might be important to mention what everyone has failed to...You will not want to leave!!! We are an aussie couple with 3 young kids (10, 6 and 18mths at the time) going to Merida and the Yucatan for the first time. Dealing with annette was a pleasure and she was extremely helpful with making all arrangements and contacts, especially Juan and Nora: the caretakers, neighbours, Spanish tutors, cooking instructors and guides.. and now friends. As with everywhere in Mexico, if you speak a little lingo, it goes a long way, but Juan speaks perfect English if you don't. They can be as involved or at arms length as you want, but don't pass up their local knowledge. The house is a 400 year old Spanish colonial terrace which reveals little from the street. But once you step inside you will be transported back to a time of grandeur long gone from modern construction. Annette and her husband have been ever respectful to local design and decor and have created a wonderful house, large enough for 2 families to enjoy. The palette of terracotta, pastel coloured walls, hand painted floor tiles, timber shutter doors, antique wooden furniture and soaring 5 metre ceilings show just how much of a labour of love the restoration of this home has been. And then there's the pool... the hub of the home if you have kids. Cool, deep and cleaned daily, it will be the place you spend most of your quiet time; watching hummingbirds and small tortoises make their way around the garden. Casa de angeles is ideally located near the centre of Merida and is a stones throw away from bus stations if you want to travel further into the Yucatan or other Mexican destinations. The bustling markets are within easy walking distance as is the Plaza Grande. And if you want to explore the world of the Maya and other cultural locations in the Yucatan please organise a tour with irwingtours.com.mx. You will love Casa de angeles like we do.

“A wonderfully, relaxing time in the Yucatan.” Castillo-Niche-Ha is a wonderful, clean and modern way to visit real Mexico. The property is very well-equipt with everything you might need. Each of the bedrooms has comfortable linens and plenty of closet space. The views are lovely and the location is convenient to little "tiendas" or stores where you can easily find your necesities. The beach is extremely close and the water is very warm and calm. We had a lovely time at Castillo Niche-Ha.

“Great stay in Playacar” We stayed at Casa Price for a week in February 2014, and loved it. We have visited the Playa del Carmen area previously and can't beat the location in PlayaCar. Quick access to the powdery white sandy beach and the beautiful Caribbean, Casa Price has everything we needed. Great views from the open living area on the second floor, the balcony and the roof top terrace. Satellite TV, internet access and laundry were all a bonus and made our trip more enjoyable. Rosa was a terrific in every way; she cooked, cleaned and looked after all the details in the house so everything was perfect. Everything was as promised! Thanks for sharing Casa Price.

“Nice people to work with” Everyone associated with this rental was extremely nice to work with, e.g. landlord, agents, housekeeper, pool guy and gardener. All very accommodating, pleasant and helpful. The house was just as represented, wonderful. It is in town, close to everything. However, coming from the country, it did take a short time to acclimate to the nightly town noises. I would unconditionally recommend it to anyone.

“Casa Lasata provided us with a very relaxing and comfortable vac” We were really looking forward to our stay at Casa Lasata and it met all our expectations. Everything was there that was needed to make our vacation relaxing and enjoyable. We prepared most of our meals at the Casa and there was nothing missing that we needed. The home is in a great location for both the beach and for walks into town which meant short walks for both. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all spacious and very clean as well as the entire home. Much time was spent on the spacious upper patio and around the pool. Patricio, the property manager, is very nice and stopped by a couple of times to check in with us to see how we were doing. He was very informative and responded quickly to all our inquiries before our trip and had the casa set to go when we arrived. We would definitely book Casa Lasata with Flipkey again.

“Tropical, exotic, sophisticated, secure” My wife and I have vacationed on the Yucatan, especially in the Riviera Maya since the early eighties. In 2004 we came across the Casa azul . The Casa is being operated by two of the most charming Canadians south of the 49th parallel Senior Jack and Signora Kelly. We have rented the home now on five or six occasions. We have traveled with family, family and friends, as well as just as a couple. The Casa is situated a short drive north of the beautiful village of Playa Del Carmen and only a slightly longer drive North to the boisterous and vibrant town of Cancun. The beach and ocean at the location of the Casa on Play Paraiso, a part of the Maroma beach chain is simply the most beautiful we have experienced in the Carribean. The sand is incredibly cool irregardless of the 90 degree weather. And the ocean as blue as any we have found from Toronto, to aruba in the Netherlands antilles. Activities in the area are endless from cultural to classical, tropically romantic to just plain tropical. The casa itself is in a small private compound of estates, wedged between two of the Mayan Riviera's finest hotels, the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo and the Mayan Palace. The compound has its own guarded and gated entrance providing the assurance of complete privacy. Amenities at the Casa include the beautiful in ground pool just outside the front door with a marvelously private, tropical, mature landscape yard. Interior appointments are warm inviting and intimate, very tastefully completed by Kelly. From the view of the sea on your private third floor verandah, to a swim in the cool clear water of the local Cenotes this area and the Casa azul are not to be missed. We continue to travel to the Casa, and we in fact also own a condo in Naples Florida. No we are not related to Jack or Kelly, although when we get the bill I occasionally wish we were. Satellite televisions are excellent, but a 54" led screen would make those hockey games in January really pop!

“Great experience” We absolutely loved our stay at villa eden. The property and view were fabulous and the accommodations great. Genny and her staff were amazing, friendly and attentive to all our needs and details. Fulvio the property manager stopped by when we first arrived to make sure everything was good with us. Some of the best lobster we've ever had was prepared and served in the house. We highly recommend and will definitely go back ourselves.

“A wonderful family vacation” Casa Buena Suerte on Soliman Bay, Tulum, Mexico is the ideal setting. The Caribbean with its azure color, Palm trees and sea breeze is perfect for young and old alike. We were a family of 15, with 7 children and 8 adults, ranging in age from 9 months to 80 years. The staff at Buena Suerte took excellent care of all of our needs and Hugo, the house manager is a jewel. The house itself, has many gathering "holes". Of course, the pool, was the highlight for the children. I especially loved our breakfasts and dinners, prepared by Jose and Alphonso, sitting at the big table outside conversing and laughing. Everyone was very relaxed and content. It was our favorite family vacation. Thank you Buena Suerte!!!,

Very Best Location In Playa-Steps to 5th Ave & Mamitas
Playa del Carmen apartment
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“Great spacious apartment” Upon arrival, we noticed the spaciousness and cleanliness of the apartment. The furniture is contemporary and everything was working. After one or two days the router quit working, but this issue was quickly solved by the property manager Joe as well as a small airconditioning leak. Five stars for service. The overall quality was very high: soft beds, large fridge & living area, nice shower and fast internet (good enough for Skype, Facetime, etc.). The location is excellent: it's near almost anything worth visiting like the beach and good bars & restaurants. Also, the process of renting and payment (including rental instructions)was communicated clearly and pleasantly, as this is indeed an important part of the experience. If coming back to Playa, we definitely would rent this apartment again.

“It's a magical place” Our family had a terrific stay here in early December. Joyce was quick to respond to our many questions & provided lots of helpful tips & info before we arrived, so there were no surprises whatsoever. The apartment was spacious, clean & well-maintained, with just about everything we could possibly want (except for an oven, but we didn't end up cooking that much anyway). The purified water from the taps tastes pretty good, but if you're really particular about your water you might prefer bottled. Perfect location in the middle of blissfully quiet, uncrowded Half Moon Bay - easy walking distance from Yal-ku lagoon & a few good restaurants - and we loved always being just a few steps away from a palapa-shaded lounger on the beach! Beds are comfortable, wi-fi connection was better than expected (of course it didn't work 100% the time, but when it did it was surprisingly fast), and the central a/C is great for when the heat & humidity get to be too much. Yes, the beach is a little bit rocky, and occasionally the seas get stirred up making it a bit treacherous for swimming, but those are good times to check out the many other activities available in the vicinity (or just sit on the beach & relax!). When conditions are right, the snorkeling in the shallow bay is quite good. I definitely recommend a stop for groceries on your way in one of the mega-supermarkets of Playa del Carmen - prices & selection are much better than you'll find here - though the little convenience store across the street was pretty well-stocked with basics. Also, it seems like the atms in the village work only occasionally, so you might want to grab some cash before you get here, too. We definitely hope to return to akumal someday, and I can't think of a better place to stay. Highly recommended!

“Wonderful value for so close to the beach” Stayed here for six weeks. It was a great rental. We loved the fact we were just behind the beach front houses, but could still see spots of ocean from the balcony chairs. Snorkeling was really good if you just walked a short distance down the beach to the hotel pier. Unit was kept very clean by the maid and there was lots of very hot water. Definitely need a car if you want to be in town daily but if you're going to be mainly relaxing at the condo taxis work-they were about $7 Canadian per trip. Only one complaint-rental needs a couple of those fold up beach chairs
