HOUSE RULES: No dirty dishes left in sink. Have all garbage bagged and please leave in the kitchen so that animals won't tear into it. Place all dirty towels and washcloths in the bathtub. Strip the bed sheets and place in bathtub. Please leave the cabin in the manner in which you found it. This is a non-smoking residence.
WINTER MONTHS: Snow can be a problem during the winter for my cabin location. Doe Ridge Road is state maintained but it is usually the last road they get to when scraping. We have hired a person to maintain Turkey Trot Lane which is the road to my cabin. Never know about the weather but to be on the safe side you really should have a 4 wheel drive when traveling in Boone and especially if staying at my cabin.

Additional Location Information
This cozy cabin is located is a wooded area about 5 miles from Boone city limits. There are houses in the area within sight of the cabin. We have lovely mountain views and some nice walking trails in the surrounding area near the cabin. The road leading up to the cabin is on an incline and during the winter the mountain roads can become slick with snow and ice so precaution is advised.

A clean, comfortable, well appointed, quiet mountain cabin. We enjoyed the large verandah with a great view and the BBQ. Tammy the owner was very obliging to readily accommodate our requests. Interesting but challenging drive up to the cabin from Boone. We found it more convenient to enter the driveway at the second entrance.

This cabin was everything that we hoped for. It was in the mountains with a gorgeous mountain view. It was cute, secluded, and close to town. It is also hiking distance to a decent size waterfall. In the directions, there are two different ways to hike to the waterfall: down the road (easier) and down a path that they told us was very steep. We chose the path, and they were not lying. I am an experienced hiker and it was a very exerting, but totally worth it. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone else.

The house was very nice and already had some supplies like sugar coffee some can stuff. There are a few things I did not like. Could not get the air conditioner to work. The clorine smell was strong where the pump had messed up. My granddaudhter said when she took a bath the clorine burned. The directions to the cabin were a little misleading. I had to call every number O had to get up with someone to help. Do not go looking fof the stream unless you are in good shape and plan on walking 3 to 4 miles.one way. We asked a woman on the trail how far, she said 3 miles Satueday. I asked the man Sunday morning and he said 2 miles..For the price It was ok. just dont believe all they tell you
Very sorry that our guest was unable to follow the directions to the cabin as we have never had issue before. We informed this renter of the previous well drilling and that state required water treatment of the water but nothing harse we didn't advise drinking the water. All was standard procedure with wells. Sorry that had issues. The air conditioner was working fine as he told me he couldn't understand how to use the remote for the air conditioner.
