Splendid seclusion is within reach…and calling you.
Once you arrive, you’ll settle easily and comfortable into the rustic charm of this magnificent log home. Hidden away on 55 acres, within easy reach of Blowing Rock and Boone, NC, this new estate offers all the seclusion you are looking for, plus much else to make your escape from the city complete.
Spacious enough, at 5000 square feet, to accommodate up to 6 guests, the home is elegantly decorated throughout with wonderful rustic accents. For instance, the authentic Frederick Remington statuettes.
In cold months, or at any time, the huge stone fireplace invites a gathering whether to watch the giant 54” flat screen television or simply to take in the majestic view beyond the west window. There’s nothing like watching a sunset ignite the western sky over Grandfather Mountain, unless, of course, it’s watching a sunrise kindle the new day as you enjoy breakfast before the west kitchen window. Sunset, sunrise, daytime or nighttime, a glass of wine, a cocktail or just a coke. You may enjoy either of all of this while relaxing in your 8’ hot hottub.
The surrounding lands are as delightfully appointed as the home itself. Hike along the beautiful stony creek and you will attune to the restful, invigorating music of not one, but 4 waterfalls along the way. A ½-acre lake, stocked with fish, provides the solitary wanderer, or a couple, with the perfect oasis to rest, read and reflect; while larger parties might prefer to linger for a picnic of play in the area surrounded by the creek.
And although you have yet to explore the nearby vintage 19th century spring house --- and much else --- you’ve already discovered the way out of today’s hustle and bustle and into the peaceful pleasures of your own Hidden Falls refuge.

Leatherwood really is perfect from checkin to checkout, their friendliness and readiness to help is always present. Our first stay at Hidden Falls was wonderful. It is a gorgeous home with room for everyone. 3 couples stayed for a long weekend and we could enjoy the mountain view from the rockers on the front porch morning and night. There is also a huge porch off the back overlooking the hot tub. We loved the open floorplan of Hidden Falls. The only downside was the kitchen was not as well stocked as the home. That said, we'd stay there again. Pool table in the lower level added entertainment. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms for all.

We stayed at Hidden Falls for our Thanksgiving vacation with our friends. It was a wonderful time for all of us. The service was amazing. We had Thanksgiving lunch and we couldn't have done it better. It tasted just like home without all the fuss. The location of the home was a bit far from the main office and the barns but we actually liked that. It made us feel as if we had the mountain all to ourselves. The home was gorgeous and full of everything you could possibly need. I think the only thing the owners could add a few more of is regular drinking glasses (glass or plastic). We were also disappointed to find the large screen TV and internet box was not working. While it was a disappointment it did not ruin or vacation by any means. There was plenty for us all to do. We spent 1 day riding horses and going to Grandfather MTN all of our boys had a great time a great time playing in the woods. The evenings in front of the amazing fireplace was probably my most favorite time of the whole weekend. I was truly a relaxing weekend for all.

Absolutley breathtaking and relaxing cabin. The mountains are so peaceful. Sunsets phenomenal! The Leatherwood staff, well, you won't a find more friendly, helpful and professional group of people. Make sure to pack a picni lunch one day and take the time to go find the "Hidden Falls". It's well worth it (and really not too far of a hike).

Hidden Falls is a beautiful house in a very quiet area of Leatherwood. We would definitely stay at this house in the future. There was one issue- when we checked in we were told about bees that had nested somewhere in the house. In fact we were given some spray in case the bees became a problem. There were a lot of bees, and one night I was walking without shoes and stepped on one. Would have been a problem if someone was alergic to bee stings.

Our son and daughter-in-law were married at Leatherwood in June 2010. Our family stayed in Hidden Falls for the weekend celebration. We also hosted the Rehearsal Dinner at our cabin. The home was spacious and beautiful. The kitchen was well-stocked. The covered porch in the back was exactly what we needed to entertain.
We thorougly enjoyed our stay. The views were breathtaking and the staff could not have been more accomodating. Thank you to everyone at Leatherwood Mountains.
