Incredible outdoor adventures await you at this one-of-a-kind getaway! With nearly 19 acres to explore, New River frontage, a hiking trail, two firepits, and much more, this beautiful home truly has something for everyone!
The west wing of the main level features a very open and airy great room, dominated by a wall of windows overlooking the mountains and the river below. The living area has leather furniture arranged around a wall of built in bookshelves with a floor to ceiling river-rock gas fireplace in the middle, and a 36-inch HDTV with a DVD player mounted into one end of the shelf, and a piano waits to make beautiful musical memories as well.
An enormous kitchen takes up half of the room by itself, with a built-in refrigerator, ample cabinet space, a large island with prep sink and stovetop and two stools, and a stacked microwave & oven. The rounded dining nook, with 7 windows, is the perfect place for the smallest snacks to the big holiday dinners.
The master suite is in the east wing of the main level, and it has a King four-poster bed and a small electric heater by the French doors to the private deck area. The private bathroom has a tiled shower, heat lamps, a walkin closet, and a double vanity.
Downstairs is a second living area. One side of the room has a kitchenette with microwave & mini fridge and a table and chairs, and next to that is a desk work area for those needing to work while away. A foosball table waits for friendly games, and the HDTV mounted onto the shelves here is perfect for a movie night. There are two bedrooms and a bath on this level. Head down the hall and you'll find a room with a twin bed and twin trundle underneath, a full bathroom, and a bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed set.
Time spent on the deck spaces of this home are sure to make some wonderful memories. The main level has an enormous covered portion with a cafe-style table & chairs and some Adirondack chairs, plus a cold water outdoor shower. The open-air section has a metal firepit (firewood not provided) and a selection of tables & chairs, all overlooking the stunning year-round views.
The lower level deck leads to the hiking trail down to the river. This strenuous hike is a little over a quarter-mile long, and meanders by a bubbling creek before coming out to the South Fork of the New River, reported to be the oldest river in the country. There is a stone firepit ring by the river. You can turn back the way you came to get home, or you can continue on through the 19-acre property to make your own trail back.
Adventures galore await you at this beautiful mountain getaway. Hiking, river canoeing, bonfires, and bird & animal watching is all just a start to the memories you can make. When it's time to head to town, you'll be surprised to discover that this woodland getaway is just 15 minutes outside of Boone shopping and dining, with Rocky Knob Park about 7 minutes away, and all the other High Country attractions just a short drive away.
