We've been renting high-quality furnished accommodations for over 6 years, exclusively in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. The "Chez Paul" apartment location is stellar, just 3 minutes walking distance to Boston Common, the Freedom Trail, an organic grocery store, a wine shop and many more conveniences and Boston attractions. Please note that our pricing is NET and includes all taxes, cleaning charges and payment fees.
Welcome to an adorable ground floor studio apartment, located in an 1860s building at the very top of the Hill and the center of downtown Boston. This true to the name, Boston pied a terre is eco-friendly and luxurious while simultaneously showing off its historical origination with exposed beams and re-claimed architectural elements. The apartment has very easy access to the street and adjacent patio courtyard. The owners mission is to live with a small footprint but without compromise.
Basics: The kitchen is very well appointed with beautiful slate counters, polished fixtures, deep sink w/disposal, Miele dishwasher, gas range/oven and full-sized refrigerator. The bed is a Beauty-Rest plush-firm queen with down pillows and sateen sheets. The bathroom has full-sized tub and shower with polished fixtures and original cross-hatch beams overhead. Washer/dryer is in the hall around the corner and there is place to keep a bike.
Electronics: LCD HDTV (w/ basic HD cable (CBS, PBS, ABC etc), DVD/CD player (w/ DVDs), wired/wireless internet, fax jack, ipod radio/mp3 speakers & cable, air-conditioner (window unit - summer season only), telephone & answering machine with free U.S. and Canada calling, hair-dryer.
Eco-Green: Aside from a great example of small-space design in a location that promotes walking and public transportation; bed linens are eco-certified and cleaning agents, paper supplies and soaps/shampoos are earth-friendly whenever possible. We recycle. Cloth shopping totes are hanging in the closet and the electricity is generated from wind.
Essentials: No smoking, no pets, no parking (ask), sleeps 2 maximum (no exceptions). Includes all utilities and furnishings, ground floor, direct access patio. The owner has written a very detailed manual for the apartment and for all services and restaurants in the neighborhood.
Expectations: Please note that Beacon Hill is on a hill, so there is a fair amount of walking if staying in this neighborhood. Also note that the bed is higher than a normal bed, as the dresser drawers are built underneath. We provide a small stepping stool if required, but this extra height may not be suitable for all guests.
We have other accommodations in the neighborhood with different profiles, so just ask....Read more

May be there are larger or more fancy studios in Boston, but for sure no one like Paul's. It's simply charming and cozy, full of details that makes you feel at home. Definitely the best option for a couple. And close to the core of the city!

This apartment is a testament to the power of design. At 225 square feet you'd think it might be cramped, crowded, even claustrophobic. But just the opposite: it feels like a well-appointed yacht cabin (but with more quirky and historical charm) and the large windows looking at the patio extend the size of the space. The kithen is easy to cook in, the bed is super comfortable (although up some so not for the infirm), the bathtub heavenly, and the location atop Beacon Hill is superb (although again, not for the infirm). The owner, Paul, is terrific. I recommend this studio highly to an able-bodied single person or to two people who get along very well.

Exceptionally well appointed with great attention to detail.
The owners of this apartment should be congratulated for creating a beautiful, comfortable haven right in the heart of Boston. Their thoughtfulness from the appointments within to the comprehensive welcome pack and just the small items left for our use were greatly appreciated. It was also very nice to have the use of the outdoor area which was well set up.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anyone wishing to spend time in Boston

My husband researched this apartment so I can take no credit for finding it but what a find! I expected it to be compact which it is but the level of fit out far exceeded my expectations.Every possible extra was laid on in minute detail even down to nail varnish removal pads! The outside terrace is a little oasis. The location itself is incredibly cental with lots of lovely local restaurants within walking distance on Charles's street. The locality is full of beautiful buildings.Overall a true gem in the heart of Boston.

I hate feeling like a tourist and this home made me feel like a Bostonian for four nights. We loved the feel and looks but that bed ruined us for the hotel visit we had for the next three nights in another city. I just went and found the very bed we slept on. Heaven, better than a Hilton dream package. We were thrilled with the location, the fact that I logged on to my computer in seconds, the tv, all the products left from previous guest, thank you for the icy/hot...our calve muscles are use to flat Fl land and the detail planned out in this apartment. We had planned on eating out more but the Whole Foods had so many great selections from their many food bars that we ate in a lot. Very quick walk. The T was great, bought the seven day pass for 15.00 and used the water taxi twice with it. We used the one by Mass General a lot. Very easy getting around. Thank you for the great apartment and helping us to be travelers not just tourist!

We had a wonderful stay in Boston. The information book was excellent. It was nice to be able to sit out in the patio - weather permitting of course. The apartment is compact but very well planned and equipped. There is a feeling of quality. The location is quiet but in a good area and close to amenities.

The location was exactly where we wanted to be. Our host provided an excellent guide to the rental unit, to all the sights in the area and many good recommendations. We loved our visit to Boston and hope to return.

We stayed here during the heat wave, and it was quiet, cool, and comfortable. Every inch of the space has been well thought out, and though small, it is like a stateroom on a luxury yacht. A nice kitchen for cooking, and plenty of storage made us feel at home, and the wireless made us feel connected to the world as well. On top of everything else, it's located in the country's most beautiful historic neighborhood, with absolutely EVERYTHING within a few blocks. The room was comfortable enough to stay for a while, and we did! Didn't really want to leave.
