Experience Boston from the unique perspective of your own floating house! Nestled in a protected marina in Boston Harbor, our houseboat is fully equipped with all the comforts and amenities of home!
The boat has baseboard heat and is completely insulated. It is toasty on the most inclement day. Imagine tucking into bed, watching the snow blanket the marina, while the water rocks you to sleep.
There is a master stateroom with a queen bed, two twin beds in a sleeping loft and a queen sized sofa bed for the living room. Additionally there is a full kitchen with a cook top, toaster, microwave and full sized refrigerator. We also have all the needed cups, plates, mugs and cutlery you will need. Off the kitchen is the bathroom, which is huge by boat standards. it has a full sized stand up shower, head and vanity/sink. These boats have 40 Gallon hot water tanks as well, so no worries about running out hot water after a few showers. We also run on shore power and water, so the water has great pressure and is unlimited (no water tank to refill)
We provide all linens and towels so there is no need to worry about laundry. We also provide plus an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, plus bathroom products such as soaps, shampoos, and lotions. We even include a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of coffee pods for your enjoyment. This houseboat is fully air-conditioned and heated for your comfort in any season. All this for less than the price of the smallest rooms at any of the nearby downtown waterfront hotels!
Located in a very secure and gated marina, our houseboat is just minutes away from downtown Bostons` most popular attractions; Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market, the North End, the New England Aquarium, the Childrenïs` Museum and the Boston Convention Center via the included water taxi service. Our convenient location makes it easy for you reach points of interest along the waterfront, via water taxi included in rental price. Go ahead and rent or bring your car, this rental has a FREE parking space for it! This is unheard of in Boston!
This houseboat is located in the up and coming East Boston Neighborhood of Boston. It is minutes away from the airport, and dozens of great restaurants and shops. There is a grocery store less than a half mile away, and a convenience store on the corner. As mentioned above, we offer a FREE water taxi service to all of the guests of our boats (normally $15pp each way) into Rowes Wharf in Downtown Boston. This quick 10 minute ride puts you right in the center of all there is to do in Boston. This stop drops you at the Aquarium, Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market and the North End.
Our location in the actual working port of Boston affords our guests the unique perspective of the historic Boston Shipping Trade in action. Watch the drawbridge open from your roof deck as barges and tugboats pass by, supplying Boston and the Northeast with the needed commodities for commerce!
This unique location is becoming a hub for working professionals. You may never want to head into Downtown during your stay. If you are able to pull yourself away, the multiple transportation options for getting into the city make it a cinch!
The boat is in a protected part of the marina, but there can be some occasional movement during the day when boats pass by. At night the waters are very calm and some guests even find that a bit of gentle swaying relaxes them and makes for a very restful sleep. The houseboat is berthed on a brand new floating 5 foot wide wooden dock, so its just one step up onto the boat's deck at any tide. The docks are lighted and very stable The dock is connected to the parking lot by a long ramp with handrails; this ramp can be a bit steep at maximum low tide (twice a day), but there are built in treads for climbing. The ramp can be difficult at the lowest tidal points for folks with difficulty walking. The good part is that the tide does go in and out, so the majority of the time it is at a 30 degree angle or less. Its a safe first nautical experience for people of all ages who have never been on a boat before.
After a long day of touring the city there is nothing better than being dropped off at your boat by the water taxi, stepping onto the deck and relaxing on your own private sun deck with a cold drink in hand, listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean as you enjoy the views, sights and sounds of Boston Harbor!TripAdvisor property ID 3330663...Read more

Additional Location Information
Located in the hip and unique Boston neighborhood of East Boston, our location gives our travelers a calming respite from the frenetic pace of Boston. The marina is located in a secluded cove that is used by boaters in the harbor as a shelter from any passing storms due to its geography allowing for very calm water. If you have a fear of becoming seasick while on board, you can be assured there is no calmer water in Boston. The boats may gently rock from passing boats, but we are completely protected from any incoming swells that buffet all of the other Boston Marinas.
Begin your adventure here on our boats, and continue it in Boston easily with multiple transportation options. We have parking included for one car with every rental, this spot is super close to the boat in the intimate marina. No worrying about hauling your luggage blocks to your boat on check in like other rentals in Boston. Additionally we have partnered with Rowes Wharf Water Transport, Bostons premier. water taxi company to offer a free scheduled water taxi service to all of our guests. This service will run at least three times daily, and will pick up directly at the marina and bring guests into either the Charlestown Navy yard (to begin walking the freedom trail and explore the USS Constitution) or to Rowes Wharf in the heart of Downtown Boston. Here you can explore the aquarium, Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall, or pick up the T (our subway system) and head anywhere in the city you want to explore.
There is a brand new grocery store, Starbucks, liquor store, restaurants and shopping less than a mile from the marina.
Also, with our on site office we can help with any aspect of your stay you can imagine. Want the boat stocked with groceries, etc.... before your stay? Let us know! Whatever we can do to enhance your experience we will do!

I wanted to give my 13 year old grandson something unique to remember on his "milestone" birthday so we stayed on a rock-on-rental this past weekend and it was such a blast...so out of the ordinary.
Three of us got in on a Friday evening. Ryan met us at the gate and showed us to our "boat" which was clean, roomy, quiet, safe and the coolest thing ever! The sunset from the roof deck was spectacular. We quickly made ourselves at home (lots of storage space) and grilled our dinner (finding all the necessary items easily), ate on the "porch" with little patio lights. The beds were soft and extremely comfortable as were the linens and towels.
We wanted to ride Codzilla (a must) and wander Quincy Market so Ryan suggested we use the water taxi (included in the rental price!) to bring us to the Long Wharf area. We called, gave them about an hours notice and they were right at our dock at the given time. Pick up from Long Wharf was just as easy (and you get a nice boat ride around the harbor).
There is a large grocery store just down the street, and smaller corner stores within walking distance which is very convenient.
I highly recommend the experience to anyone at any age!!! We will definitely be back!
Thank you Ryan and Karina for making our stay so comfortable and fun.

They say location is everything and with this houseboat, that is definitely the case! Our first time vacationing of this type and we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and nice the furnishings were. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the upper deck and relaxing before heading off to an evening Sox game. Being right near the heart of Boston was fantastic and it's very easy to get around using the water taxi...or just walking. I highly recommend this for a different kind of stay!!!

My Husband and I recently stay on the andromeda and had a wonderful experience! The owner of the company and reservation agent were so helpful and that made my stay all that much better I was a little hesitant about the area of where the Marina is located but once we were on location and saw that Rock on Rentals had worked in a water taxi service to and from downtown it almost felt like we were downtown and with free Parking which is unheard of in Boston which saved us so much time driving down and up the streets looking for parking not to mention the marina was very quiet which was great this is so much better than staying at your regular hotel because you get your own space with kitchen and plenty of sleep space to sleep up to six guest on the water this was such a great experience it was exactly what my husband and I needed since we had not been on a vacation or had time off from our busy lives we loved it so much that I plan on returning again and again thank you so much Rock on Rentals for making this possible you guys really thought of everything to make this a memorable experiences.

We stayed on a houseboat, what a great accomodation! The boat was complete, had everything we needed to cook, snack, and relax. By using the Water taxi, we were able to enjoy a great harbor ride and start our touring right from Rowe's Wharf. It is all right there, Quincy Market, the aquarium, the North End, and the Trolley stop which took us to Fenway Park, Boston Common, Harvard Square and all points in between. The best part was being able to take the Water Taxi back to our houseboat, put our feet up and relax! The houseboat master bedroom and loft provided good sleeping areas, if needed we could have used the sleep sofa as well. After touring all day, we slept great! The best part of this rental was parking the car (for free!)and not having to drive. We cooked a couple of meals "on board" and enjoyed others in the North End. We also took the Water Taxi to see the USS Constitution, Bunker Hill, and the Freedom Trail.
We found the boat to be super clean, just as described, the Water Taxi connection made access to Boston and Charlestown so easy.
