A charming, modern apartment set in an idyllic rural location, this beautifully decorated property sleeps two and is a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding countryside.This charming ground floor apartment is situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere. Well-positioned within the village, this attractive, modern flat provides quality accommodation. There is an open plan living area with well-equipped fitted kitchen and a lovely double bedroom with en suite reached via an attractive archway. At the front of the property patio doors lead to a small, gravelled garden with outdoor furniture, ideal for sitting out and enjoying the late evening sunshine with a drink of something cold. The cottage is well placed for all local amenities, in addition to being within easy reach of the rest of the region.
Amenities: Electric fire in sitting area with electric oil-filled radiator. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with FreeSat, DVD, CD player/radio, WiFi. All power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Small gravelled garden with furniture. 1 well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops, pubs, lake & all town amenities 5 mins walk. Please note: There are seven steps leading down to the property.
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Providing a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, the twin towns of Bowness and Windermere have an enduring appeal for many visitors to the Lake District. Boat trips are available from vibrant Bowness to Ambleside, as well as to the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Nearby is Grizedale Forest Park which offers good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure playground, whilst for those who aren't keen on 'monkeying around' the National Trust care for a number of properties in the area. There are also a variety of water sports available across the many beaches. Children may enjoy a visit the "World of Beatrix Potter" in Bowness, which brings famous characters to life using animatronic technology. Also within easy reach are destinations such as Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains.
