A mountain retreat, perfect for a family reunion or gathering of friends.
Extra perks include an outdoor hot tub and high speed internet!
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This spacious five bedroom home enjoys a private location in Bridger Canyon, just ten minutes from Bozeman. Guests will enjoy fantastic mountain views, lots of peace and quiet, and easy access to hiking from this home. An extra bonus is the outdoor hot tub, perfect for an evening of stargazing.
BEDROOMS AND BATHS: The home has four bedrooms, a studio with a pullout sofa and four and a half bathrooms. There is one additional pullout sofa in a small den for more flexible sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom is located upstairs and is very spacious with a California king size bed and large private bath that includes a deep soaking tub. On the lower level of the home are three more bedrooms. One of these bedrooms is set up with a queen size bed and a private bathroom. The other two bedrooms, (queen size bed in one, two twins in the other) share a bathroom. Then, through an exterior door from the lower level, there is another entrance to the house, where you will find a little studio set up with a full size pullout sofa and a private bathroom. The main level of the home, where you will find the living room, dining area, and kitchen, has a half bathroom.
KITCHEN: This fully equipped kitchen has top of the line appliances and amenities. The kitchen has a Wolff gas range, stainless steel appliances, microwave, coffee maker and grinder, dishwasher, etc! It has absolutely everything you will need for any meal you have planned. There is a nice selection of cookware, serving ware and a good spice cabinet as well. Out on the deck you will find a gas barbecue grill and seating for those outdoors meals.
DINING AREA: There are two dining areas in the home. Adjoining the kitchen is a more casual seating area that will seat up to six at a time. Then, out in the great room is a more formal dining area that seats up to eight.
LIVING ROOM: The living room is absolutely gorgeous, with high ceilings crossed by rugged structural beams. These beams were actually salvaged from a building in San Francisco after one of the major earthquakes. The focal point of the living room is the beautiful rock fireplace, but there is close competition as the view out the glass doors captures a fantastic look at the Bridger Mountain range. The kitchen area has another small gathering place set up with a couch, easy chair, wood burning stove and television with a DVD player and satellite service.
There is also a small den in the west wing of the house, with a comfy couch for some private reading time and an exercise bike, in case inclement weather keeps you inside for a day!
SETTING, ACREAGE, VIEWS: Bridger Hills Retreat is located on 14 private acres in the foothills of the Bridger Mountains. The home has lovely landscaping and open meadows in direct proximity to the home and some pretty groves of aspen trees down near the teepee ring out the back door.
ACTIVITIES NEARBY: Besides hiking and mountain biking on nearby trails, there is fishing on the Gallatin River and Yellowstone Rivers -both rivers are just thirty minutes away. Guests can also spend time skiing at Bridger Bowl, which is just 8 miles away, horseback riding, rafting, golf, tours of Yellowstone National Park with our sister company Greater Yellowstone Guides, and everything that the towns of Bozeman and Livingston have to offer.
CLOSEST TOWN AND AIRPORT: It's about 20 minutes to Bozeman's Gallatin Field airport. Bozeman is just ten minutes from the home, Livingston is about thirty minutes away.

We went to a family wedding in Bozeman and wanted our kids to stay with us.Bridger Hills Retreat was a magical Montana house to rent. With mountain views from every window, to deer and elk roaming the back yard and was decorated in true Montana fashion with all the comforts of home.
Mountain Home-Montana Vacation Rentals made it so easy.

Thank you, Montana Vacation Rentals, for handling our home rental with flawless excellence. Absolutely nothing better could have been expected or enjoyed! Our Christmas vacation to Bridger Hills Retreat with our entire family (10) including moms, dads, grandparents, grandchildren, an aunt and our 2month old newest arrival was truly wonderful. The home was spectacular in every way. The location on the hillside was wonderful, with elk and deer literally coming into the yard. Being so close to Bridger Bowl for our skiers was great. The furnishings in the home were first class, with every amenity we could have ever hoped for. The vaulted ceilings, gigantic fireplace and huge, well equipped kitchen were delightful. The outdoor spa was icing on the cake.

Bridger Hills Retreat surpassed all of our expectations of a vacation rental. The mountain views alone were majestic and the house added comfort and beauty to our experience. The roomy house floor plan made it possible for our family to spread out and enjoy meals, games, conversations and sleep privately, but also gave us the opportunity to all gather in one large room together. The rich, distintive decor was perfect for a mountain setting. We were also impressed with how many supplies and equipment were available for our use. The outdoor hot tub and fire pit were enjoyed each evening. We appreciated the positive working relationship with Montana Vacation Rentals and their response to our requests. We absolutely loved our stay at Bridger Hills Retreat!!

We had the family in for Christmas and we had a great experience. The house was full yet we didn't feel like we were stepping on each other's feet. Beautiful view of the mountains and the hot tub was great after a day of skiing. Thanks Mountain Home!

We had a wonderful time with family and friends. I love to watch my kids play and run free. This is house is warm and welcoming it meets the Southern Hospitalitly and Charm I would find in Charleston, SC. I can relax and get away from the everyday go, go, go...I love Montana in June!

The house was great for eight cousins... all women and all great cooks to spend a week. The beds were great (We're bed snobs.) and there was plenty of room for individual quiet time and long group yacking sessions. The perfect setting for going back to a part of the country out great great grand parents settled. Dang, I wish they'd hung onto the Flying D!

This was a great home. The owners surely love their family and wanted a home that reflected that. We felt that in every room. A great view, close to town, we had a wonderful experience and we will be back. Thanks for a great vacation.

This home offers an elegant yet very comfortable ski chalet getaway for families or a group. We especially enjoyed the gorgeous woodwork throughout the large but cozy livingroom with lovely fireplace and formal and informal eating areas and well-equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were many and very comfortable, great master bathtub, grassy acres for kids and dog to roam, and a hottub with a wonderful view. The location was perfect for skiing at Bridger Mountain and just a short drive away from Bozeman for dinners or supplies.

Bridger Hills Retreat was well located and beautiful, with plenty of room for our two families. The large front porch was great to eat a meal on, or have a glass of wine and watch the kids play. The view of the mountains was the best show to watch, from the porch, hot tub or house. Renting from Mountain Home is worry free, with the numerous photos and the thorough descriptions of the homes on the website, the properties are just as advertised, and the staff is capable and responsive. We were so happy with our experience, we've booked with Mountain Home again this year!

Found this cabin through Mountain Home - Montana Vacation Rentals (where we find all our houses each year). This particular year we had 10 grown men on a fly fishing expedition and needed some space. While we like to rough it on the river, we like to come back to a spacious retreat we we can unwind. This home / cabin in the Bridger Hills area was a great find. Spacious, clean, cool stuffed cougar overhanging the living area.
One caveat - if you don't like walking up a few flights of stairs, you might not be too excited. There's a little walk up to the main entrance, although I believe there is an elevator on the property... we just didn't have the keys.
Thank you Chad for your comments about your stay with us...and for your continued confidence in our services!
I need to clarify one thing. You mistakenly commented about your rental of another Mountain Home property that we no longer work with - and you're right, that one DID have quite a set of stairs outside. That's what you get for having SO many vacations to Montana - you can start getting them confused! I invite you to leave comments specifically about this home, Bridger Hills Retreat. It's the one in the meadow, with a hot tub and a tipi.

Beautiful home, very well appointed. Great gourmet kitchen with all of the necessities. Plenty of stretching out space for everyone. We would highly recommend this property for families. Lots of room to lounge, as well as plenty of bed and bath space. The hot tub and grounds are fabulous, and the deer, elk and rabbits were constant entertainment. Very quick ride to Bridger, with super ski conditions.
Mountain Home does such a great job preparing the property - everything was in order and ready for us when we arrived. They were also very helpful while we were in the home. This is our third year working with them and have found them very professional, helpful and just plain nice.
Highly recommend Mountian Home for rentals and esecially love this property!
