I am very happy to say this property was exactly as described both verbally and photographically by the rental company.

The cottage is situated a little way up a lane to the side of the owners home and another cottage they also rent out so you are literally in the middle of all the open greenery and truly away from it all and everyone, but still just minutes away from the not too busy main road…

Left on Mar 31, 2015 for a stay in October 2014

yes, this is a lovely cottage set in beautiful surrounds, we wouldn't hesitate to go back there again - everything you could want in a rural cottage. The only down side to the cottage was the attic bedroom - very cold in the winter and the outside lighting didn't seem to work. If you don't know the area it is also a little difficult to find as the sat nav tries to take you down a small farm track…

Comfortable, quiet, as described. Ideal for restful stay

Left on Feb 26, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This is a nice location. Suitable for two people, ideal for a solo traveler. The large studio-style bedroom/Living room is lovely and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are both a good size and well appointed. My only criticism would be the TV. As a solo traveler, it is a key point for me and I found it a bit too small.

I would also suggest that this is a good choice for …

A little piece of heaven

Left on Jul 05, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

This is a fantastic find for anyone who wants to get away from it all and yet have all mod cons at their fingertips at the same time. The owners, David and Carol, could not have been nicer, but left us to our own devices once we had been given a tour of the cabin, which is equipped with everything you need.

Well located for Gloucester city centre (about 10 mintues drive away) but so private. …

Lovely views across the valley

Left on Mar 12, 2015 for a stay in June 2013

Fantastically well-equipped and furnished cottage with great views across the valley. Excellent kitchen with everything provided and luxurious bathroom downstairs. (Didn't use upstairs bathroom as I was on my own). I had a problem with accessing the wi-fi but Peter sorted this out immediately. A quiet spot but my only slight criticism is that the "private" garden is very much shared with and …

Lovely cottage in stunning area

Left on May 07, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We had a brilliant 3 night stay over the bank holiday weekend. It's a cosy cottage with everything needed for a relaxing break, including a travel cot and high chair which is great if you are there with a baby. The setting is really peaceful, coming from London it was lovely to wake up to birdsong rather than traffic noise! The communal gardens are beautiful, we had our lunch down on the picnic …

Beautiful cottage in a great location

I stayed at The Barn with my partner, my sister, her partner and our 2 dogs. This cottage is idillic, fully stocked with everything you need. Clean, cosy and comfortable. The location is ideal, close to amenities such as Sainsburys. Our dogs loved the nearby common, we had nice long walks and met some great people. Left on Mar 14, 2013 for a stay in February 2013

We were the first paying guests to stay in the cottage. We had a wonderful time and was made to feel very welcome. I would definately reccomend this cottage to any couple wanting a few days away. The cottage is extremely well equipped and considering we were the first guests, there were no teething problems. Little extras like tea coffee sugar and fresh milk were welcomed thoughtfull touches.
