Tyra Summit B1F is a delightful and cozy ski-in-out condo. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms this unit sleeps 7-9 comfortably. Amenities include a queen bed in the master bedroom, queen sleeper sofa in the living room and two bunk beds located in the second bedroom. The living room is very spacious with a gas fireplace and 27" flat screen to enjoy. The condo is fully stocked with all the essentials and has internet access. The back deck overlooks 4 O'Clock Run and affords wonderful views of Horseshoe Bowl and Peak 8 above.
The Tyra Summit condominium complex is located on 4 O'Clock Road, just 4 blocks west of downtown. Only a few beautiful private homes are located above the complex on this quiet dead end road. In summer, the Colorado Super Slide and Human Maze are only a short walk away, at the base of Peak 8.
You can start hiking, or mountain biking from the deck of this condo, onto the 4 O'Clock Ski Run which will connect to the various trails up the mountain and throughout the Ten Mile Range. You can hike to the top of 12,998 foot Peak 8 on the 4 O'Clock Trail. Mountain bike up the Four O'Clock Trail in the summer or ride a "comfort" bike on the 9 mile paved path alongside the Blue River. Walk 4 blocks to downtown Breckenridge's many restaurants and shops. Enjoy the 4th of July parade, river rafting on the mellow Blue River, the National Repertory Orchestra concerts (late June to mid August), and the Pro Challenge Bike Race. You can also enjoy a free gondola ride up to Breckenridge's Fun Park on Peak 8, featuring an alpine slide, two person roller coaster, miniature golf, climbing wall, fun maze and pony rides for kids. Horse and pony rides up the mountain are also available at the Breckenridge Stables on Peak 9.
The 4 O'Clock ski run is just outside the deck of this condo and you can ski down to the Snowflake chairlift. Relax in the hot tubs or heated pool in the clubhouse of this complex at the end of the ski day. Enjoy Breckenridge's annual Snow Sculpture contest the last week of January. Next to the Snow Sculptures is the Ice Castle, which stays open til late March. Ride through the streets of Breckenridge in a mountain sleigh, drawn by a team of Belgian or Percheron draft horses. Enjoy April's month long festival of concerts and activities in Breckenridge.
Tyra Summit guests will have access to the Resort Quest shuttle. From 8am to 11pm seven days a week.
Only one parking pass is provided.
Please, for the comfort of all our guests, NO pets and NO smoking!
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2011 for a stay in January 2011
Loved the location, liked the place, very easy to get to the slopes, very easy to get downtown for food.
Really liked the lockbox check-in/check-out... that was super easy to deal with.
Only problem was the lack of wi-fi or internet... no big deal for a short stay, but next trip lack of internet would cause me to look elsewhere...
