The School House was a great rental for our large family holiday. We loved the secluded location and the fabulous views from the terrace. The house is well furnished and looked after. The large sitting room was great for the evening table tennis competitions, perhaps a pool table for the future?
We would highly recommend the following:
Eating at the local pub in countisbury.
Watching the wild ponies that always seemed to be 'hanging out' near the road to Countisbury.
Lynmouth and the railway to lynton.
The valley of the rocks and the tea room ( with garden and scary witch)
Dunster village and castle
Sea kayaking at Combe Martin (£15 an hour for a double)
Watersmeet (really lovely)
Driving across the top of Exmoor.
We really liked North Devon and the School House was a fantastic base (once we got used to the mega steep hills to get on/off Exmoor).
