Additional Location Information

Come relax on the Maine coast with cool summer winds and the ocean air refreshing your every sense. We are a working farm secluded on 20 private acres surrounded by rolling hills of pine trees. Gardens full of fresh vegetables and fruits are tended by the owners Kurt and Andrea Rauscher. Kurt and Andrea also care for chickens, goats, and sheep who enjoy the fresh greens in their pastures. The farmhouse boasts 5 bedrooms, a dining room, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, washer/ dryer, front coat room, and a living room. The farm is located .9 miles from a local swimming hole that families flock to on warm summer afternoons for a cool dip. The Bristol Diner, a local breakfast and lunch restaurant, is just .7 miles. Round Pond, which is a small fishing village, is 3.3 miles. Round Pond has two lobster pounds on the wharf which will cook up all of your seafood delights and are BYOB. Enjoy wonderful sunsets sitting on a traditional wharf while tossing your clam and lobster shells over the railing back into the ocean from which they came. Take route 32 and pass by the ocean while driving through the village of New Harbor on your way to Pemaquid beach, only 9.9 miles away. Pemaquid beach is a beautiful crescent beach with facilities and concessions. Fort William Henry is just down the road with a restaurant that sits on Pemaquid Harbor. For golfers there is a great public course, Wawenock, 3.1 miles from the farm. Heading north on route 130 will bring you back to the town of Damariscotta, 6.6 miles from the farm. Damariscotta hosts a variety of shops, coffee houses, and restaurants on its quaint main street next to Damariscotta River. Local fisherman harvest Damariscotta River Oysters which are enjoyed nation wide and some say are the best in the world! Damariscotta also has a movie theater, grocery store, hardware stores, library, and everything else a big city might have but nicely situated in a coastal community. Come stay with us and enjoy all summer in Maine offers! Visit us at (website: hidden)!
