Additional Location Information

The house is in Park Slope, arguably the best neighborhood in New York City, at least according to New York Magazine (April 2010). It's a beautiful neighborhood with historic brownstone and limestone row houses.

Park Slope is 15 minutes away from downtown Manhattan, closer to the action than the Upper West Side or the Upper East Side. The subway line F can bring you quickly and easily anywhere in Manhattan, and the "7th Avenue" stop is jsut around the corner from the house.

Also half a block away is the famous Prospect Park which was designed Olmsted and Vaux, right after they finished Central Park. Prospect Park is a wonderful place to picnic, jog, bike or just relax on pedal boats. In the winter, it's a great place for sledding (sleds provided). Every summer there are world-renowned musicians playing in the Prospect Park Bandshell (free concerts).

On 7th Avenue, you will find a lot stores and restaurants while 5th Avenue is more hip with cool bars and restaurants.

Safety is probably one of the best features of Park Slope, especially when you compare to some of other Brooklyn neighborhoods (Crown Heights, BedSty, etc) or even Manhattan!

It's the perfect place to relax after a hectic day in New York City.
