Additional Location Information

While we are physically located in the foothills region of western Maine, we are only a half mile from the NH border and ten miles from the shops, restuarants, skiing and other amenities of Conway and the Mt. Washington Valley. Best of all, there is none of the traffic that visitors to the Mt. Washington have to deal with when staying right in the Mt. Washington Valley. All the benefits , none of the hassles.
The surrounding countryside is very rural -- many farms and large tracks of forestland that have miles of trails and are great for cross country skiing , mountain biking or snow shoeing. The Brownfield Bod Wildlife Sanctuary is five miles away and offers great opportunities for bird watching, snow shoeing , cross country skiing and kayaking . Fabulous scenery.
