This is a beautiful apartment, spacious and bright, tastefully furnished, that has just been renovated. It has a bath, steam bath and shower cabin.
During your stay you can enjoy free Wifi and cable TV.
The apartment is located in a residential neighbourhood at walking distance from the main EU offices, the city centre and public transport hubs. We are just behind some of Brussels' most famous Art Nouveau Squares and parks (Ambiorix, Marie Louise).
The apartment is on the 1st floor of a period house, built in the XIX century (please note that there is no elevator). It keeps all the beautiful character of the original building: marble mantelpieces, wooden floor, stucco decorated ceilings 4mt high.
We (your hosts) live in the rest of the house, but the apartment is completely independent.
We are an Italian / British couple. We are available to help and are happy to provide information that would help you to have a smooth and pleasant stay.
Between us, we speak English, Italian, French and German.
CHECK IN- CHECK OUT TIME:
Check in and check out times can be flexible, depending on personal availability and other bookings.
***NORMAL CHECK IN is from 14 till 17 hrs.
***LATE CHECK IN before 20 hrs is possible with a little extra fee of 15 euro. If you need to check in after 20 hrs, the fee is 35 euro. This fee is asked as a small contribution towards the metro and/or taxi our housekeeper has to take to come from her home, leave her family and social activities outside her working hours and come and meet you at your convenience. It is to be paid directly to her in cash.
*** EARLY CHECK IN before 14 hrs is possible if there are no guests leaving the same day.
***NORMAL CHECK OUT is before 10 o'clock.
*** EARLY CHECK OUT is no problem and can be arranged with the housekeeper.
***LATE CHECK OUT no later than 14 hrs is only possible if there are no other guests coming in the same day into the apartment.
- NO pets, NO smoking, NO parties.
- No third party allowed in the apartment without prior notice and consent.
- There is NO air-conditioning in the apartment.
- Also available for long term rentals, ask for special rates and conditions.
- The apartment is NOT a PARTY apartment. We ask our guest to respect the tranquility of the other inhabitants. If you disrespecting this we will ask you to leave immediately without refund.
- You are renting a private apartment, NOT a hotel room, so daily cleaning and breakfast are NOT included in the price. However our housekeeper is available for you and is charged at an hourly rate. We do not provide products for the use of the washing machine
- When leaving the apartment we expect you to leave it in a properly state. Any damage or extra cleaning will be deducted from your guarantee.

We stayed in Elena's flat for a week in October. It is an excellent flat and a terrific base for exploring Brussels. We were working in the EU quarter and then doing some exploration on the side-- the flat is not really central, but we found this worked very nicely-- it is close enough to the center that things are within easy reach, but on the other hand it was pleasant to come back to our quiet neighborhood at night. Plenty of shops nearby, with an excellent grocery store just five minutes down the road. The flat was slightly chilly inside during our stay, but I think that was an issue with the heating timer, and we got used to it. Elena was great with communication. Highly recommended.

Stayed here with my wife and son for a couple of nights in February. The owners couldn't have been more helpful, sorting out extra bedding for our son, arranging parking for us and recommending great local places including a very nice local Lebanese restaurant.
The apartment is really beautiful. Very, very spacious with a huge comfortable bed, luxurious bathroom and very nice fully equipt kitchen/living area.
Although the apartment is not really central there are some interesting areas a close walk away and nice bakeries and shops just up the road as well as a good supermarket. It's very easy to get into the centre of Brussels, whether walking or on public transport and the advantage of the location is that it's lovely and quiet at night.
We had a really lovely relaxing trip to Brussels and the apartment was a big part of that. It is a real pleasure to stay somewhere that is not just about making money. The owners have obviously put a lot of love and care into making it a really great place to stay.
Would love to go back and stay for even longer next time.

We stayed in Elena's lovely apartment for a mere 3 nights and wished it were more. Beautifully outfitted with a new designer kitchen, beautifully refinished hardwood floors and a cozy shag area rug, welcome after the many cold tile floors in most rentals.
The large bathroom was well outfitted with soap, shampoo, lotions, something not often encountered in many European vacation rentals (I always bring my own soap just in case) and a spacious shower. The kitchen had a coffee machine and enough coffee pods for a couple of days, beautiful appliances, dishwasher and large breakfast bar. Huge flat screen TV with cable, big bright windows overlooking the quaint little street, a great supermarket within a couple of blocks, walking distance to restaurants, shops, and even the European Parliament. Only down side was an odd circular chair for 2 that serves as seating in the living room, otherwise perfect.
Elena couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, even lending us her phone to call a cab on the last morning. She promptly responds to emails and offers detailed information about the area to her renters. Highly recommend this rental, and this is coming from a critical eyed, fellow vacation rental owner.

I take full responsibility for the "odd circular chair" (come on, it is more a of a sofa size), that we call the nest, and that might not be very comfy for everybody. But that is so amazing when one sees it in pictures of the top exotic hotels: it comes with a top (a folding cotton canopy) to protect you from the sun. It was definitely my desire to imagine being somewhere else, more sunny...
Anyway, I am happy that everything was good for you and hope to see you sometimes in beautiful California and possibly be your guests!

Everything worked out very well - the reception, all necessary items in place on arrival, very good communication with owner/manager during the stay.
The apartment building is a charming period house that has been carefully renovated, and has all the necessities of modern day comfortable living, with all kitchen appliances, cable tv and internet.
The house is very conviniently located in the EU quarter, with easy access to basic shopping.
The charm combined with functionality of the apartment and house, located in the EU quarter made my stay very pleasant.

Elena is a gracious hostess. She responds to any need including discovering property left in a Brussels' cab! Not only is she gracious, she is also interesting, informative and fun! The apartment is up a floor but no problem for tourists 75 and younger since Elena's family totes the luggage up and down the stairs. It is a spacious apartment with a large flat screen TV. When we arrived, Elena had supplied cereal, milk and orange juice. The location was close to two of the major metro stops so getting anywhere in Brussels was not difficult. I strongly recommend the flat to other travelers. It was almost like being at home.
The Booking deposit is nor refundable for stays of less than 1 month.
Longer stays (booking deposit):
For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made 1 month (30 full days) prior to listing's local check in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check in, otherwise no refund. In this case there is a 20 € administration fee to be added.
If the guest cancels less than 30 days in advance, the booking deposit is not refunded.
If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded.

Check out time : 10 am
Check in and check out times can be flexible, depending on other bookings.
Please note that Check In and Check Out outside these times have to be agreed with us and MIGHT carry an EXTRA COST of 20€.
