Very nice cabin -- clean and comfortable. It is convenient to downtown, and to Deep Creek Park. The cabin (house) is quiet and easy access. The driveway is very steep. Couple of little housekeeping items need attention, such as WD 40 on the bedroom/bathroom door hinges, but no major issues. Loved the hot tub and the gas fireplaces (one inside and one outside on the porch). We would rent again. There is sort of a wheelchair ramp access to the front door, might be a little tight corner near the garage though. The shower is not W/C accessible, in case someone is looking for total disability access.
Thank you, Julie, for taking the time to review Black Bear Crossing. We appreciate your feedback.
We'll have our maintenance team look into WD-40 and the door hinges.
We're glad you enjoyed the hot tub and gas fireplaces.

My family and I enjoyed my birthday with great fun. The house is very accommodating to both adults and children. Everyone had their own private space yet comfortable when we were all together. The fireplace on the back porch is good for ambiance but did not put out enough heat for campfire time. The view was very nice and felt secluded. Be sure to get kitty litter or salt pellets if you are staying during snow/ice periods as the driveway freezes and there is no removal service. Overall, a great place!

This cabin was perfect in everyway. My father and I found it a great place to spend a few nights during our motorcycle tour of the Smokeys. Location is so close to the amenities of Bryson City, yet the location is very quite and relaxing. The quality of the cabin is top notch and everything was in excellent, clean condition. The paved driveway up the side of the mountain made access very easy. Would highly recommend!

The service from the rental agent was handled efficiently and quickly. The cabin was fantastic; well equipped, and the location was convenient to entertainment and restaurants. The only drawback was the location very close to a public road.
As a repeat guest, for future bookings you will receive a 10% discount off any of your cabins when you call to book.

This was a well laid out home with plenty of room. It was easy to get privacy for reading or watching video that no one else wanted to watch. Plenty of storage for suitcases and bags. Comfortable indoor furniture.
1) There was a dangerous gap between the walkway on the left side of the house and the main level deck. A small child could easily fall between the walkway and the house/deck; or anyone could step into the gap and be injured seriously.
2) There were only 2 outdoor chairs (rockers). No tables. This falls short of what guests need.
3) No curtains on the doors to the decks. My daughter hung a sheet up in her room. Blinds aren't required but some form of curtain to provide some form of privacy, especially in the bed rooms seems appropriate.
4) Address markers at the end of the driveway on the street.
We will let the owner of the cabin know about your concerns.
Please keep us in mind for future stays. As a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount off any of our cabins.
“Serene mountain cabin”

The service was excellent. The initial cabin we stayed in did not have working Wi-Fi, so the coordinator moved us to this location by the very next day. The house was beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching the sunset over the mountains. We enjoyed the modern amenities while still feeling like we were outside of the city. Fantastic view of the Smokys and was only 2 miles outside of town which was very convenient. The home had very large windows and multiple doors to access the balconies; however, there were not any drapes over the windows which made the children feel nervous about sleeping alone on the lower level. The visitor manual was an excellent resource and helped us to choose places to eat, visit and hike.
