♦ Wonderful Memories from Big Bear Retreat:
- "It was very nice to receive a call to ensure we arrived to the cabin ok. We loved Big Bear Retreat. Nothing negative to stay. The ease of checking in and out was such a plus!!!!! We booked this vacation last minute and this cabin was best for us and accommodated our dogs too. The property is a beautiful retreat that is still close to all the major attractions, which was a huge plus. Even though there are nearby cabins, the privacy was great!!!!! I loved the bear themes for a vacation home. IT really felt like home. Beautiful place! And you can bring your dogs!" - William, Stayed October 2015
- "We enjoyed the cabin's view. We also went white water rafting, road the train, ate at the Dillard House in Dillard, GA and played a little at the casino. We had a little fun at the casino! Thanks for everything." -- Shannon, Stayed June 2014

What a great place to stay. Plenty to do in the cabin and in the area. It really made our 2nd anniversary special. Love the game room. We had quite the game night tournament going on with all the games. Can't wait to come back and stay again. Oh and the view was great too.
Thank you very much, Angela, for taking the time to review Big Bear Retreat.

“Fantastic relaxing vacation”

This was our first experience in cabin rental and we were not disappointed. We booked this rental via the Internet from England and it was so easy to book with no problems and great communication all the way. The cabin was so much better than expected. Everything was spotless and the hot tub and games room were an added bonus. The area was very peaceful but not too far from Bryson. It was quite a steep hill to get up too but did not cause any problems driving. I would highly recommend this cabin and it had everything we needed. We hope to stay there again. The only thing that I would moan slightly about were the slightly uncomfortable creaky beds and the hot tub is outside the master bedroom and as it kicks in every 20 mins it sometimes sounds very loud when trying to sleep. That is a very minor complaint though. All in all we all had a fantastic time.
Thank you so much, Barb, for taking the time to review Big Bear Retreat. We are so glad that the cabin was more than you expected and that you enjoyed the location, the hot tub, and the air hockey and foosball table.

Thank you for your feedback about the beds and the hot tub. We will relay this to the Quality Control Manager.
We're very glad that you had a fantastic time.

The cabin, house really with a country flair, was clean and warm. Nice view. Only had two bones to pick: 1) no firewood was stocked. This was done for all our other cabin rentals in other locations; 2) While the game room was nice, it lacked heat. The space heaters provided popped the breaker when used. A small wood stove would be much better, no electric bill to deal with and radiates heat 360 degrees.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Beds and rooms were comfortable and large great room easily accommodated all of us. The boys really enjoyed the dart game and the hot tub.
Our only real issue was the dug up yard - moles??? - which kept the boys from playing much as the ground was too uneven to run around.
Thank you, Nonnie, for taking the time to review Big Bear Retreat.
We're glad that your boys enjoyed the dart game and the hot tub.
It's been a long time since your stay. Our Quality Control Manager was just there this week and found no noticeable signs of any groundhogs or moles.

The vacation was fantastic. A week wasn't long enough to do everything. We did the hiking, Waterwater rafting, Ziplining, horseback riding, train ride and shopping. Everything was great. Cabin was perfect and relaxing. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Thanks for the great experience.

This cabin was very nice and suited what we were looking for as far as the space needed. The location is okay as long as your not looking forward to any large activities. It was very relaxing and secluded. I would recommend to a friend or would come back myself...

We (two cousins and I) have rented three cabins from Gscr
and will reserve again in aug. All three cabins have been great. No more noisy hotels or motels for us. Half the fun of coming to the mountains is sitting on the porch and just relaxing. Everything except personal stuff is there for your use. Your only obligation is repsect the cabin and enjoy your stay.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. Very beautiful scenery and great location. My husband and I took our 2 kids 5 and 1, my parents, and my 15 yr old niece. Everyone enjoyed. We will stay here again on our next trip to the smokies!
