Celebrating Fathers Day and our 28th Anniversary, we had the great pleasure of enjoying 3 nights at Bear's Way. The "cabin" is much more than expected, unbelievable comforts and privacy. We planned 2 nights but were moved to stay an additional. Before leaving we started planning a return visit to the same cabin or another of the Carolina Mountain vacation properties. We enjoyed the excellent, abundant amenities. The master bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage space for luggage and clothing. There are plenty of pillow variations to choose from giving a great nights sleep. The linens are good quality and fresh laundered. The master bath was spacious with a double bowl, lighted sink with plenty of mirrors and a full bath/shower combo. ALL were very clean with plenty of linens. The second BR was not used but it too was spacious and well appointed. All rooms have TVs with dish satellite. Frontier wifi is great throughout the area. The kitchen is filled with every amenity available-bar set, blender, toaster, coffee pot, radio, ice maker/dispenser in the refrigerator, bottle openers (wine & cola), bake ware, outdoor grill accessories, etc. The deck wraps from front to side of this gorgeous cabin- rocking chairs, tables and bench on the front porch to enjoy the lovely view or enjoy early morning coffee; a fire pit at the end of the porch for evening enjoyment with additional chairs; on the expansive side deck is a wonderfully relaxing hot tub for 4 people comfortably, an outdoor dinning table for 6, the fan above to keep you cool and plenty of lights should you choose to use them. The side deck boasts a large, good quality gas grill and off the deck is a charcoal grill. The drive way runs to the back of the cabin and all the way around to the side. There is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles or as in our case a motorcycle trailer, 2 bikes and truck. Upstairs in a balcony area with love seat and ceiling fan; the attic style area which is now a game room and full bath with jacuzzi tub (formerly the master bedroom) boasts a nice flat screen TV, small pool table which converts to a fun air hockey table or a ping pong table can be placed on top of that. Multiple board games can be played on the large table or a game of darts on the wall. We enjoyed various aspects of this fun little room. The game room boasts video games and movies as well. The upstairs bathroom has a very nice 8 jet jacuzzi tub which we found to be very relaxing. There is a large dining table for 8. The decor and amenities are exceptional and abundant. Each evening we enjoyed a bottle of fine local wine at the hot tub with some nice local cheese. We did not cook however we did enjoy eating snacks outside during the evenings and enjoying coffee and pie in mornings. The area is not secluded but with the trees around the cabin it feels secluded and very private. We never heard another soul except 2 dogs bark in the morning about 9am. We did enjoy security in the area-this was a nice extra-they never bothered us just waved as they went thru. This is a must return, must do, must rent. This was the tail end of a 11 day trip - wish we would have booked the entire trip here instead of the "resort" we visited in the Banner Elk area. The cabin in just a few minutes from multiple sites and activities; near to the highways, a few miles from Cherokee, 10+ miles from Bryson City, a few miles from a small mall with grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants. Great location, great place, excellent vacation. The staff are the epitome of southern hospitality; easy booking, easy payment, professional, friendly, helpful.

Cabin was great. Has two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a large game room. Fireplace is gas-fired and works great (does not smoke up the house,etc.). There are TVs in the lounge, game room and in the bedrooms. Kitchen works good. Has adequate parking for 2-3 cars. Driveway is steep but is paved (so any car should be able to go up to the cabin). Cabin is inside a gated community. View is of trees --- so there are no mountain views, if that is what you are looking for. Condition of the cabin is excellent (& everything appears to be new and working well).

Bear's Way is not a cabin, it is nicer than the house that I livee in. With 3 full bathrooms, a game room equipped with a pool table, board games, and a Wii, a flat screen in each room and overstuffed furniture, I wanted to stay much longer. Typically a rental lacks kitchen utensils, flatware, and dishes that are useful, but not Bear's Way. We came over thanksgiving and had everything we needed to make the full meal. I cant speak highly enough about this property. Furthermore, it is out of the way of the busy Casino area, but close enough if that is what you come to do. Bryson City is no more than 10 minutes up the road and beautiful hiking is extremely close. I will return to Bear's Way soon.

Our stay was very relaxing and comfortable. The cabin was a perfect size for two couples, with plenty of extra space. Nice upgrades with WiFi and the hotub. The kitchen and living were nice and open for entertainment. We enjoyed being outside and using the firepit and the deck. The walking trails were close by in Bryson City. They were beautiful to walk through.
We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return in the future.

This is our first experience with cabin rental and it was the best thing we could have done. The Cabin and surrounding area was fantastic, nice wooded area, gated entrance, clean and completely furnished. We had relatives that rented Racoon Retreat the same time as we rented Bear's Way.
We will rent again next year as this was so much better than staying in a motel, price wise, excellent. Thanks for an enjoyable time, we will tell our friends about the great time we had too.
Wonderful base to visit all the city's around the area and the Smokey Mountain motorcycle riding was really fun.
Thanks for making our vacation time so worry free.
