Left on Feb 10, 2010 for a stay in November 2009

Every year we head over to Llanwrtyd Wells for the Real Ale Wobble and every year we stay at Cwm Irfon Lodge. I love this place it is quite, peaceful and set in stunning country-side.

The cottages themselves are very comfy and fully equiped a bit like a home from home.

Both Karen and Gyles are great hostes and it is a really pleasure to stay, easly one of my best weekends away.

Hay Riverside (re) Treats

Left on May 19, 2010 for a stay in May 2010

Just got back from a wonderful relaxing weekend stay at Hay Riverside Retreats. Having only seen photos of the property on-line, I didn't really know what to expect and I approached the red brick exterior with reservation - how could something so simple and functional offer the treats promised on-line? But as soon as I walked in, any uncertainty was removed. It was absolutely gorgeous and so much…

An idyllic getaway in the countryside.

Left on Mar 27, 2013 for a stay in December 2012

This place looked lovely in the pictures and on the website, but to stand there on the veranda of the lodge and look across the Wye Valley and Black Mountains was the highlight. Wow, what a view to wake up to! Living in the city, I was amazed at how quiet it is too. Just the sounds of the countryside. The lodge had everything I needed in terms of facilities and stuff in the kitchen. It was …

Charming cottage ideal for a relaxing break

Left on Aug 31, 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We stayed here in August and used the cottage as a base for walking & bike-riding around the Brecons. The local pub was great for the odd evening when we didn't fancy cooking our own dinner, though most evenings we were happy enjoying the comforts of this home from home. After a week here we didn't want to leave this peaceful & relaxing location.

An escape from reality - just what we needed

Left on Sep 01, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We have just spent a week in the straw cottage, a perfect break away.

An escape from the real world. The children loved the freedom to be able to run, build dams, build dens and explore. We had a week of quality family time, playing, exploring and cuddled up in front of the fire for stories.

The boys loved going up to the farm to visit Ash & Mossy (the dogs) and the horses.
