The Natural Reserve of the Zingaro,
it is a wonderful oasis of Mediterranean vegetation which extends in the Western part of the Gulf of Castellammare, in the peninsula of San Vito lo Capo overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea between Castellammare del Golfo and Trapani. It was founded in 1981 by collecting the legitimate demands of many naturalists who have long it estimavano heritage. The reserve is an unspoilt area, crossed by several paths that lead also to the beautiful coves facing the sea. Inside you have the opportunity to visit several museums: the Natural History Museum, the Museum of Maritime Activities and the Museum of Rural Life, is also active in the Environmental Education Center.
