I moved to Rio recently and top of my list of things to do was to make a trip to “famed” Buzios. I finally made it and while there stayed at this villa.
When I started to look for a place appropriate for my family and friends, I was frankly a bit reluctant to rent a a villa near downtown Buzios. Buzios was already hectic when I was last there 20 odd years ago, so I knew it would be even more busy now albeit when I went last week it was in the dead of winter. (We went into town for a meal at the Porto da Barra, lovely, but the traffic and time spent just getting a few blocks made me happy that I didnt book a villa near town. And again, this was low season).
So, based on a friend's recommendation who had stayed at this villa, we booked this place for the 6 of us. The location was terrific. Near Rasa, so away from the all the hustle of downtown Buzios but still near all the beaches and restaurants the Buzios area is known for - plus grocery stores, etc nearby. (Although be forewarned, you really should have a car/transport if you are planning to stay at this villa).
And the specific location for this villa is really special. As it shows in the photos, you walk right out onto a nearly deserted beach that stretches kilometers in both directions. I took my 6 year old son and his dog and they were just in heaven. As was I. They could go out and play right in front of the house while I could sit nearby with a book or with my friends in the yard...
