Located at the tip of Baja California, Cabo San Lucas is one of the most popular and fastest growing resort destinations in Mexico. Because of its location right on the coast, it has become a hub for water sport activities including fishing and scuba diving. Recently, several championship golf courses have also been built in the area. Find yourself a vacation rental in one of Cabo's three districts: San Jose del Cabo, the old town area; Cabo San Lucas, the main town and the entertainment hub of Cabo; or The Corridor, a highway that offers luxury villas and beach houses just steps from the water.
Over the course of your stay, be sure to plan time for some of these activities and destinations:
-Casa de la Cultura: This center is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has lots of information on events and happenings in the area. The guides at the cultural center are also very helpful and happy to assist tourists.
-Land's End: Check out this large cluster of rock formations known to have exceptional views of the surrounding area.
- Fishing: Chartering a boat for the day is possible with many different companies in the area.
-Scuba Diving: Rent some gear and visit the Sand Falls.
-Off-road Adventures: Spend a day on an ATV or mountain bike exploring the sand dunes, desert, mountains, and beach areas.
-Shopping: Puerto Paraiso, Marina Cabo San Lucas, and Shoppes at Palmilla are the three main boutiques in the area.
Book a vacation rental in Cabo San Lucas during the spring, when temperatures peak in the mid 80s and cool down in the evenings. This will also allow you to enjoy the city's biggest festival, the Festival of San Jose, an 11 day festival in honor of the city's patron saint. Other big festivals in Cabo San Lucas include Dia de los Ninos in April and Dia de los Muertos in November.

"Casa Dorata... nice hotel and very friendly staff"
Left on 07/13/2015 for a stay in July 2015
My family stayed at Casa Dorata from July 4-10th and we are so glad we booked it with Marshall. Everything he told us was true. Our check-in was very smooth, his restaurant recommendations were great and it has a great location close to the Marina. The marina and many of the wonderful restaurants were within walking distance. We decided after a few days to do the 90 minute presentation. We were not interested in becoming timeshare members but we couldn't pass up the freebies. Our presentation lasted 90 minutes and we received a car rental for 3 days, discounted waters sports and a discounted deep sea fishing excursion. The deep sea fishing trip was amazing! My two teens loved it! We caught yellow-fin tuna, mahi manhi and almost snagged a sailfish! The company we used was Edith and they were very good!!
"If your turning 40, 50 or 60 round em up and come here"
Left on 07/06/2015 for a stay in May 2015
This is not a house. It's a (1.5 acre) beachfront private resort. We had 6-7 couples last May for 6 nights and had the best time. He left the compound for some golf and ATV tours but the best times were at the upper bar and beach side palapa. The staff provided excellent in house home cooking and one night we brought in a chef, complete with his entourage for the super special night. The compound offers everything needed from meals to SUP's, to kayaks and masseuses brought on site. So much different than any place in the Cabo area which is probably why it was built in like 1988--the staff told me and I'm not to far off.
Also--the pictures and 360 tour (which is what grabbed me) didn't even do it justice.
What a jewel!!
Our stay in this condo was just great!
The condo is stocked with all you need, and the view is beautiful.
All is there: towels, cleaning stuff, soap, never been to a place as well stocked as this condo!
The condo is spacious, we stayed with 4 adults and 2 children, with games and even a PS2.
We used the larger swimming pool on a daily base, the smaller pool was in the shade most of the day, and because of that the water was a bit on the cold site.
The private beach is beautiful, and was almost deserted during our stay, the walk to the beach is a very nice walk through the Pedregal fraccionamiento.
Over here you are on the perfect spot, just far enough from center to live quiet, but just a short walk away from it.
The owners are very considerate and understanding, and did their best to help in any way, both over the phone as in paper, by means of a “things to do” map in the condo.
Also the conformation mail contained useful tips, and things to do.
We encountered some minor problems, but the property manager was always available, and arranged a helping hand within a very short time.
The cleaning lady was such a helping hand, she also had some nice tips for us, for shopping and getting around.
Centre and the marina are a short walk away, and we walked there every day.
The walk back is mostly uphill, and after a night out it’s a nice work out to lose some of the calories!
Our favorite spots where: El Squid Roe for drinks and entertainment, La Casa Country (at the marina) for drinks and a bite, La Pintada (previously Ramuri) the best beer and delicious food, Patagonia Argentinian meat, and for breakfast Penny Lane just around the corner (try...
