Description

Welcome to Clay Cabin! This amazing cabin was designed to provide a one of a kind Ozark lodging experience you will not get in your home town or anywhere else at the lake and that you will never forget.

The basic rate is $350 for weekends but only $220 for weeknights, and if you book four nights you get one free!!!

This 4 bedroom, 2 full bath cabin has everything you need for a truly amazing Ozark vacation experience. The view of the lake is small and only seasonal, but that's because the cabin is surrounded by nature and very private and peaceful. If you want a nice condo with a lake view in Osage Beach, I have it as well. This extraordinary cabin is not your soccer mom Pottery Barn type of rustic. It's the real deal, but still with all the modern comforts, appliances and technology you need carefully blended in with many things that are hand crafted and one of a kind.

Location: Nature and Convenience

Clay Cabin is surrounded by nature, but conveniently located between Camdenton and Sunrise Beach right off Highway 5 making it very accessible to all the lake has to offer, and close to multiple mile markers of the lake and lake bars and restaurants. You'll only be 5 minutes to antique shopping, several bars and restaurants, only 22 minutes to the Outlet Mall and less than 20 minutes to Ha Ha Tonka State Park or Big Surf Water park. You're probably familiar with the Outlet Mall in Osage Beach, but for a different shopping experience Highway 5 has a number of quaint/cozy mom and pop antique shops. The Branding Iron Bar and Grill is close by and has karaoke etc… and will provide free transportation to and from if you call them up and ask, so don't drink and drive.

Outside Clay Cabin: 3 Outdoor Seating Areas

Clay Cabin sits on the end of the street with no other houses at the end so there is plenty of parking. The front yard to the side features a fire pit for later at night, the front porch has Western Red Cedar rocking chairs and more cedar seating for your morning coffee, while the private back deck has a great view of nature, grill and patio table/four chairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine and the sunset to the west.

Living Room/Master/Amazing Shower Cave

Step back into the old West! You'll be greeted at Clay Cabin by Bat Masterson, Geronimo, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Sitting Bull, Colonel Burnside, John Brown, an unknown Mexican soldier, and various others including Tuco, Angel Eyes, and Blondie (some of you will get the last three).

The living room features a nice sofa, love seat (sleeper), three windows, large screen flat HD TV, DVD, Blue Ray, and YouTube, Netflix and other channels using your phone’s hotspot. The master bedroom has a king size bed, large closet, big window looking back at nature, Eastern Red Cedar dresser, mirror, and desk.

The main bathroom features a stone sink and the lake's one and only amazing Shower Cave!! In this fully functioning and comfortable Shower Cave you'll feel like Jesse James on the run somewhere in backwoods Missouri showering in a cave surrounded by river rock!

Kitchen/Laundry Room/Family Room

Step from the old west and into a rustic mountain lodge! The Clay Cabin kitchen features a rustic kitchen table, breakfast bar, all the various plates, glasses, pots/pans, and kitchen utensils you'll need. There is a large window looking out at nature. The kitchen also has a brand new stainless steel refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher; but the kitchen's main features are the rustic soft close cabinets and two one of a kind hand crafted Western Red Cedar bar stools. These puppies are big! The second family room has a sofa sleeper, love seat, big window, 'gun' closet (not real guns), large screen flat HD TV, Dish TV with sports package, DVD, Blue Ray, Netflix, and a full bathroom. The family room also has a special place, I refer to as a quarter bedroom and call “Pet Cabin”, that is designed especially for your beloved pets! The laundry room is large and partially finished right now, however, it has a fully functioning brand new (large) washer and dryer.

Clay Cabin Animal Themed Bedrooms

The Horse bedroom is downstairs next to the family room and is smaller with a nice bunk bed, dresser, night stand, large window, and barn door entry. The Moose bedroom is upstairs from the family room and features an Eastern Red Cedar queen bed, dresser, night stand, with a large window looking back on nature. The Bear bedroom is also upstairs and features an Eastern Red Cedar queen bed, dresser, night stand, with big window looking at trees in front.

Overall

The overall design of Clay Cabin is perfect for families with two individual living areas separated by a kitchen in the middle. The kids can have their own space without being completely out of sight. All the beds have very soft sheets, and there will be plenty of towels and extra bedding. It will be obvious that much of the furniture and other hand-crafted items are one of a kind for gentle touching only. Smaller pets are welcome, but keep them off the furniture. The neighbor to the north has a donkey, but do not try and pet it! Clay Cabin is not perfect as there are still several little things here and there left to touch up. Your ideas are certainly welcome.

There will be various spices, condiments, coffee, and other food items. Help yourself to anything you want that is there and leave anything you think the next person might want.

There will be no bad dreams at Clay Cabin since very room has a dreamcatcher! Dreamcatchers originated with the Ojibwe tribe and were later adopted by some neighboring Indian tribes as a charm to protect sleeping children from nightmares. The Indian legend is that the bad dreams will get caught in the dreamcatcher's web while the good dreams know the right way and slide down off the soft feathers so gently that anyone sleeping hardly knows they are dreaming. The bad dreams get entangled in the web and perish with the first light of the new day.

Bonus

Watch the Good the Bad and the Ugly and get a 10% discount on your next trip and free bottle of wine if you can tell me the name on the grave where the gold is buried!
