“Absolutely Superb”
We have just returned from Pennyseorach Caravan (number 3) after a 10 day stay and cannot recommend it highly enough. Booking and payment processes were simple, any contact we had with Linda received a prompt, friendly and helpful response. Excellent Covid secure arrival and departure plans in place. The approach is via a long single track (with passing places) and, as it is a working farm, it’s a bit rough and bumpy but not a problem if you take it slow. You will be rewarded with the most amazing view as you approach the farmhouse and continue on down to the beach where the caravans are. The caravan was absolutely spotless, almost clinically clean which in current times is reassuring. There is everything you need and nothing you don’t, and there is even a great little hoover which is useful when you’ve got dogs running in and out with sandy paws! The oven is very efficient (and quick) to cook meals, there is a gas fire in the lounge for chilly evenings and a surprisingly good shower in the neat little bathroom. It is a very dog welcoming place with little grassy tracks cut into the longer grass on the immediate foreground, then of course there’s a mile of private sandy beach beyond. Shallow and safe but watch out for the lions mane jellyfish, of which we saw lots. These can still sting you even when apparently lifeless on the sand, so be careful and watch your children and pets around them. On a clear day you can see Northern Ireland, and the private island of Sanda is directly in front, a short distance away. It’s a constantly changing landscape and the large lounge window in the caravan gives almost panoramic views. Places we enjoyed visiting whilst there: the Isle of Arran (ferry), Mull of Kintyre Lighthouse, Tarbert, Skipness, Westport beach (a must if you have dogs), Campbeltown (lovely green park area with play equipment for children and lots of space for dogs to run), Inveraray (very pretty black and white town) and just driving on the country lanes in and around the area we saw golden eagles, herons, a mink and seals basking on the rocks near Machrihanish. A fantastic first experience of beautiful, clean, friendly and welcoming Scotland, we’ll be returning next year!

We had a very nice weekend only drawback was the track leading to the caravan it was very bumpy not really good for an ordinary family car a 4x4 would be ideal.
