Step through the ancient Moroccan doors of this heavenly beach villa and you’ll know you’ve found one of the Cape’s best-kept secrets. Nothing quite prepares you for its clever design or for its close proximity to Glen Beach, which is literally a few steps away.
Kia Ora’s décor style is unpretentious yet luxurious and is furnished throughout in layers of cool whites and creams, the perfect contrast to the sparkling azure waters that shimmer beyond. With two separate kitchens and entertaining areas, and three different levels for added privacy, this beautiful beach house suits up to five couples or two families traveling together with children. The self-contained area on the ground floor is ideal for an au-pair.
Glen Beach is adjacent to the well-loved stretch of beach and palm trees of Camps Bay, but has remained a secret largely because of the large granite boulders that separate it. Villa Blanc has the best of both worlds – the convenience of Glen Beach with the lively hub of restaurants and cafes in Camps Bay just a short walking distance away. Cape Town city centre is 15 minutes away.
Top floor – This is a large light-filled, airy living space with spectacular views of the sea. The open-plan, fully equipped kitchen leads into living and dining areas that open up onto to the deck where relaxed, comfy sofas add a spectacular outdoor living area. Perfect for entertaining.
Middle floor – Stairs lead to a private living space, comprising 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 of them en suite). The main bedroom has its own living area and opens onto another deck facing the beach. The en-suite bathroom features a Jacuzzi bath, and a separate shower and dressing room.
The second en-suite bedroom also has a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. Bedroom 3 is furnished with 2 singles that can be turned into a king- size bed. Bedroom 4 has a standard double bed. Bedrooms 3 and 4 share a bathroom.
Ground floor – This may be a self-contained area or link to the rest of the beach house. It has direct access to the private pool from its living area and off the bedroom. The living area also has good flow with the fully equipped kitchen leading directly to the dining area and lounge. The bedroom is en-suite with a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower in the bathroom. This floor also has a separate laundry room with washer/dryer.
Two generous decks take full advantage of the sea views with the ground floor plunge pool area adds an extra element of privacy. Equipped with an outdoor gas barbeque and a covered day bed near the pool, this Moroccan-inspired garden area provides wind free al-fresco eating.
Beach access is via a side path from this outdoor area. Guests may also use a convenient private hot/cold outdoor shower on their return from the beach.
One garage and one secure parking bay is available. Optional services include extras such as chef, masseuse, personal trainer and a babysitter.TripAdvisor property ID 3592971...Read more

Our group of friends were 5 couples traveling together. I was amazed at the beauty and location of this home. The value for our American Dollar was incredible. (Sorry dear South African Rand.) The place was immaculate, the staff attentive and flexible, booking with Tanya was a bit bumpy since Flip Key required some unnecessary overlays so we ended up sending our deposits via wire transfer which worked great. Tanya has decorated the home with soothing whites, wonderful textiles and just the right lighting. I would book this place again in a heartbeat. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Our stay in Cape Town was a memorable and fantastic one, thanks to our stay at kia ora. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kia Ora and will definately spread the word amongst our collegues. The house was very comfortable, secure, spacious (enough room for five kids!) and very tastefully decorated. We had two housekeepers which made our stay all the more easier - nothing was too hard for them to do. We also spent a lot of time out exploring, so it was nice to come back and all housekeeping had been done. The bedrooms were of good size, the kitchen had all amenities I would be interested in, the laundry was also very useful. The beach is literally over the fence, and my kids used the plunge pool a few times. I found the attention to detail of a high standard even down to having a phone number for a doctor which I had to use. The location of kia ora for our family was perfect. Not too far out of town, but just far enough away from the 'busyness' Everything you need is within walking distance. The only thing we found challenging was parking. We had a mini bus and it was extremely tight. We hope to come back one day and would hope to stay at Kia Ora once again. Thankyou.
