“Beautiful, well appointed chalet in good location” The pictures on the web site do not do the chalet justice. We had two families in the chalet for 8 days, and found it to be very comfortable. It is spread over 4 levels so there is never any feeling of being crowded - lots of space for everyone, except in the kitchen. These are the pros and cons: The Pros: - great location - 4 comfortable bedrooms and 2 comfortable sofa beds - ski-in and walk to ski-out - well appointed with plates, glasses and wine glasses, utensils and cooking pans and pots - pool table is good and popular - nice fireplace - two balconies - gas BBQ off main floor deck - heated floors are great - the garage off the main floor and extra parking are super convenient - the complex was very quiet - almost no noise at all The Cons: - the ski-in and ski-out is not for beginners - there is a hot tub on the deck but it is not functional (we knew this in advance) - there is a communal hot tub but it is down the road and not convenient, so we never used it - the shower heads in the 3 showers are pretty bad - desperately need to be upgraded - the kitchen, while well appointed, is only big enough for one person to be in it at a time all in all, would go back again!

“Exceptional rental home. My family and I enjoyed our stay.” My family and I stayed in this incredible home for a few weeks. It is truly is a magnificent rental and the views really are incredible. This place exceeded our expectations and we found it to be an exceptional value. We were in a perfect location (close to both Kelowna and Vernon) overlooking the lake. I enjoyed the golf courses in the area while my older children ventured out boating on the lake. My wife and I also set a few hours aside for ourselves to relax at one of the Spa the owner recommended. Our stay was absolutely everything we were expecting and more! We will be returning to this lovely place again in the future and we have already spoken with the home owner to reserve our dates for next year...we were actually thinking that we would like to keep this our little secret but you know how it is when sometimes a secret is just to wonderful not to share. This is a perfect place and if you have the time don't miss a visit to the areas wineries. The Okanogan Valley in all of its splendor and beauty! “One Happy Camper x 2” My husband and I had a wonderful time at Black Rock Beach House, it is even more spectacular in person, we absolutely loved everything about it, everything was perfection! This is a beautiful home. We hated to leave each day but wanted to see the Wild Pacific Trail, so we reluctantly left the house and walked the Lighthouse Trail section of the trail, we picked a good day, gale force winds, marine advisories and spectacular waves, quite impressive. We had hoped for a storm and Mother Nature co-operated, wet & weary we returned to what is now our new favorite place, Black Rock Beach House. We walked the other sections of the trail the following days, all beautiful and peaceful. Never got to take the boat tour of the Broken Group Islands, or kayak due to the marine advisories and fog, hopefully next time, but the rain and fog didn't spoil our trip in the least, just added the adventure, we were happy to spend more time back at the house just staring out the windows at the waves crashing on the rocks, the eagles, and the Great Heron who came to the tidal pools in front of the house for his breakfast and dinner each day. We had an absolutely wonderful time and will definetly be back, next time bringing our 2 grown daughters. One Very Happy Camper x 2 New Jersey

“God’s “back yard”” I was lucky enough to be invited along on a ski holiday with a friend and we stayed in this wonderful house about half an hour's drive from the Kicking Horse resort. I've got to say this was an experience of a lifetime! Apart for the skiing at both "Kicking horse" and "Lake Louise" (just over an hour away), we got involved in some other experiences. X-country skiing was a blast but harder than I was expecting and my posterior will bear witness to that. But I had a go at sledding (we call it skidooing), we managed to this right out of the yard onto some exciting trails. But the ultimate was ice fishing! I could not believe it .. We took the sleds on a trailer a few miles up the road and then disappeared into the back woods for 10 miles. Cut a hole in the ice and caught our licence quota of five fish each, it was unbelievable. Anyway back to the Lodge .. this is something special, ideal for a family of up to ten or a group of blokes like we were. This place has all the facilities and is kept immaculate. There is a hot tub we relaxed in at the end of a hard day's skiing. Plenty of facilities for drying clothes with a very efficient laundry system. Big satellite TV. There was even a telephone to make free calls back to UK landlines. There is Wi-Fi which had a slightly intermittent attitude. One of the most important items was "Dan the Man" who takes care of the property and he has his own apartment separate in the cellar. We found he was a fountain of local knowledge and knew everybody and how to get stuff organised. So it ticked all our boxes and then some .. then to top it all you just look out of the window and see the views and you know you're in God's Back Yard. I want to go here again and again! Tips: Rent an SUV or even two from Calgary. Buy lift tickets at Coscos in Calgary. Use the Hosts on the Mountain at either Kicking horse or Lake Louise, it's a free service and they guide you around the mountain to all the best runs in the weather and they love to do it.

“Nice house with lots” Had a great stay. People were wonderful . Location is a short walk from downtown Charlottetown. I recommend a bike ride on the trails of the island. The house is restored beautifully with orignal painted oil cloth on some of the floors.

“Very nice place to stay” During our roundtrip through the area we found this B&B on the internet. Called in advance by phone and had a good response from the host, Nicole. The B&B was also well known by the local tourist office and they explained us how to get there even though we received good directions from Nicole. After a warm welcome we were amazed by the modern state of the room, its space and the available amenities. For example the well equiped kitchen, modern and large bathroom, wireless internet, livingroom with modern flatscreen and plenty TV channels, quite and spacious bedroom, BBQ and much more. The pricing was good for the season. The B&B is situated in the outskirts of the village. Quite neighbourhood. Although we stayed just one night we did enjoyed some of the local attractions in the area and would sure come back during wintertime to enjoy the local ski possibilities instead of the overcrowded Whistler area!! i.e. Worth to stay, spend some time in the area and don't pay the top price for a very complete B&B.

“Perfect!!!” Teresa is a great host responding all our demands in a short time, very helpfull. The appartment was very clean, and well equiped, with a great decoration. The house is well located, in a quiet neighbourhood, near groceries, restaurants, bus stop... A perfect place to stay!! Thank you again Teresa

“Woodland setting and close to ocean, but still close to all amen” I have stayed at a lot of different rental properties and can honestly say that the Tanglewood Beach House is one of the best I have stayed at. They have a great book that the owners created outlining the area and what there is to do. It also includes a reference guide for the condo on simple things but things that if you don't live there you wouldn't know how to turn certain things on/off and which remote does what. The kitchen also has everything you need to cook with.

“Pampered tranquility” Simply the best accommodations we've experienced in years. The ambiance created by Sebastian and Jennifer's fine touch transported us to another, gentler time. The most modern amenities are provided, in excellent order and function, yet the atmosphere is nurturing and from a kinder time.The kitchen has every device necessary for an accomplished chef, the bedrooms replete for guests of all ages, the views spectacular, and the generous living space tastefully whimsical. We found the nearby dining and shopping in Montague and Georgetown excellent. Trout fishing was good and we were alone on the stream. Can think of no deficiencies. No doubt we'll return.
