About The Villa
Spread over 5000 square metres this luxurious property boasts five spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a 20-metre swimming pool, open-sided living pavilion, formal dining room, alfresco bar, media room, large gardens and a shared tennis court.
A large staff team are on hand to take care of your every need: the private chef and his team will tempt you with seafood barbecues, Asian curries and Western favourites; your personal butler will be ready to mix you a gin and tonic at the bar whenever the mood takes you; the villa’s driver can whisk you away on a sightseeing or shopping trip, and the housekeepers will discreetly turn down your bed each night.
With breath-taking ocean views and vibrant tropical gardens Villa 377 is indeed a peaceful oasis; perfect for those looking for a place in the sun that’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Bali’s most popular tourist spots to forget they exist, yet convenient enough to explore them should the mood take you.
Just nine kilometres up the coast is one of Asia’s best golf courses, Nirwana Bali Golf, which has incredible views of Tanah Lot temple. To the south are Echo Beach, Canggu and Pererenan – famous for their surf and laid-back vibe. But of course there’s really no obligation to go anywhere at all – just put your feet up and relax – Villa 377 will take care of the rest.
Through traditional Balinese doors, guests enter Villa 377 via a covered promenade – flanked either side by stone statues garlanded with red hibiscus – that leads to the upper floor living pavilion with spectacular ocean views.
To one side of the living pavilion rests the kitchen, dining room and a two-storey building housing two guest rooms (king and twin). Immediately in front of the living area is the enormous swimming pool and gardens that overlook the beach and sea temple. Directly below the living pavilion rests the air-conditioned media room with direct access to the pool deck and alfresco bar.
To the far side of the property lies the master suite and to the rear are two further guestrooms.
Villa 377’s beautiful fan-cooled, open-sided living room is on the upper level of a two-storey pavilion. Two comfortable seating areas provide glorious views to enjoy while absorbing the relaxed tropical ambiance. Fashioned on the traditional Balinese wantilan (meeting hall) this room has polished terrazzo floors and high-vaulted ceilings topped by a sirap roof. Adornments include a stunning glass lantern chandelier and a collection of Indonesian antiques.
The villa’s kitchen and dining room are also on an upper level. The large modern kitchen is fitted with granite worktops, and features glass folding doors, breakfast bar and stainless steel appliances, including a five-burner stove and commercial oven.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the formal dining room surround by water features and bi-fold glass doors that can be closed for air-conditioned comfort or opened to enjoy the balmy tropical evenings. From the 15-seater circular dining table views unfold across the pool and gardens to the ocean.
Located below the living room, the air-conditioned media room opens onto the pool deck. Featuring a Bose sound system that also feeds the alfresco bar, living room and gardens; a pool table; rowing machine; casual bar and comfortable sofas for watching movies on the large flat-screen TV, this is indeed the villa’s entertainment hub.
Villa 377’s expansive grounds and tropical gardens are exceptional. Manicured lawns are dotted with coconut palms and feature a putting green and volleyball court. To one corner, an elevated balé with traditional alang-alang thatched roof, is just the place for an afternoon cocktail, a massage, or to watch the waves crashing against the sea temple and black sandy shores of Cemagi Beach.
The villa’s 20-metre swimming pool, with shallow sections, water features and cascading water-walls, creates a calm, soothing ambiance. Sun loungers line the pool deck and a dining table and bar area adjacent to the water provide an ideal setting for casual alfresco drinks and barbecues.
A tennis court, shared with three neighbouring villas, is also available for guest use and private yoga classes can be arranged.
All five spacious air-conditioned bedrooms feature teak floors, sirap (cedar) tiled roofs, air-conditioned ensuite bathrooms, ceiling fans, glass sliding doors that open onto the beautiful surrounds and a satellite TV, DVD player and iPod dock.
The deluxe master bedroom has been designed with decadence in mind. Surrounded by bubbling water features and fish ponds this room is perfect for couples craving a bit of extra privacy. A terrace with a jacuzzi/plunge pool and double hammock faces the ocean, and a private garden balé provides a retreat for lazy afternoons.
The room’s luxurious king-size bed looks out to the garden and ocean and a comfortable lounge area is decorated with beautiful Indonesian antiques, silk furnishings and black and white photographs.
The impressive bathroom features a walk-in rain shower, twin vanity and a large tub for two, set within black granite and framed by windows that open out to a private garden with an outdoor shower.
Guest rooms two and three
Two guest rooms rest behind the main living pavilion and are accessed via stepping stones over a fish pond punctuated with water features. While the bedrooms are separate, they share a shady pergola with daybed.
Both are similar in design with a king-size bed (room three has a canopied four-poster), writing desk, sofa and ensuite bathroom with a tub and indoor shower, plus private garden with outdoor shower.
Interiors are exotically colour-themed: guest room two with sage silk and brown suede furnishings; guest room three with burnt orange and pink silk accents.
Guest rooms four and five
Housed in a two-storey pavilion, guest rooms four and five boast stunning ocean views. Upstairs, guest room four features a king-size bed draped in mosquito netting and a private balcony with daybed. Inside, a writing desk and window seat topped with blue silk cushions complete the furnishings. The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a tub, twin vanities, walk-in rain shower and outdoor garden shower.
A wooden staircase connects guest room four to the twin room below (the beds can be converted to a king). This room opens directly onto the rolling lawns, and a double hammock is set on a terrace for taking in the views. The bathroom is similar to guest room four but without an outdoor shower.

Villa 377 is situated on Bali’s south-west coast overlooking the ocean and glistening black volcanic-sand shores of Cemagi Beach. A rocky outcrop at one end of the beach forms the foundation of the mesmerising sea temple Pura Gede Luhur Batungaus. Currents here are very strong making the sea unsuitable for swimming, but it’s a great beach for running and walking along the sands at low tide.
Within walking distance of Villa 377 are only a handful of other luxury villas, but a couple of kilometres away, through the rice fields, is the pretty village of Cemagi, providing an opportunity to explore and experience the traditional Balinese way of life including colourful Hindu ceremonies.
Echo Beach, where guests can enjoy the laid-back surfer vibe, an ice-cold beer and incredible sunsets, is only 11km from the villa, while golf enthusiasts can head to the Nirwana Bali Golf Course at Tanah Lot, one of the best golf courses in Asia.
