Hidden Jewel Villa in the Hilly District of Cannes
Description from the owner
Perfect for a holiday, the Cannes Film Festival, or other Conventions, the villa is located at the top end of Cannes's well-known Boulevard Carnot that connects it in a straight line to the Croisette and Palais des Festivals. It is two minutes from the recently opened Bonnard Museum. It is reached via Motorway A8 exit 42 (Mougins, Cannes, Le Cannet)
A taxi rank is to be found at the foot of the villa: taxis take you to the Palais des Festivals in 8 minutes (1,9km).
The Palais can also be reached by direct bus N°1 in 20 minutes for just over €1euro thanks to the new fast track bus link.
All buses: N°1/4/11/13 -- Bus stop: Mairie du Cannet, 5 minutes away.
Lovely red-tiled XVIIth century villa Le Cros is for the real lover of Provence. The descendant of the family, while still preserving its original soul, has just entirely refurbished it and redesigned its Provencal suspended garden of olive-orange-and jasmine-trees.
The villa laid out over three levels has sea-views from two of the bedrooms and is definitely a much more pleasant experience than staying at a hotel in the Cannes crowd.
There are three bedrooms, each with two single beds that can be turned into king-size beds.
The first bedroom has a large bathroom en suite with large Italian shower and hair-dryer.
The second bedrom has a spacious independent shower room with hydrotherapy massage shower and hair-dryer.
The third bedroom has a bathroom en suite with bath, shower toilet and hair-dryer.
There are three toilets in all.
The TV lounge has a king-size Italian sofa bed that can sleep two more.
The house has all modern amenities including full air-conditioning, ADSL, WIFI, Satellite TV, plasma screen.

The week in your villa at Le Cannet was absolutely charming, the place is so quiet, peaceful and safe, but at the same time so near Cannes, Nice, Montecarlo and many other exciting places and beaches worth to see and
enjoy..The house and its location is very interesting for its antiquity, but at the same time you did a real good job furnishing it with all necessary modern equipment to make life easier and comfortableWe loved Le Cannet as a town, we spent wonderful moments in the little terrace, as well as in the restaurants up-stairs, and I can assure you that if we come back to France, we will surely contact you to be able to enjoy again that cozy home. Thanks for all, Catherine, and we hope you have a good time in your vacation period.Rosario Forascepi, (Santiago, Chile), June 2007
Villa Le Cros was a wonderful place to stay. It was exactly what we were looking for; lots of character and charm. We would love to stay there again! (Thompson, August 2012)

This is just a brief note to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in the villa during the Festival. It suited us perfectly and we managed to do a lot of very succesful business.
If the villa is available for the 2010 Festival I think we will probably be interested in renting it again. I shall let you know.

We rented this property and it was exactly as described! Clean, well appointed and the air-conditioning was really needed!! It is well located and we had no trouble walking around, sightseeing and getting groceries. We had a car so parking was tricky but we were able to park outside the front door most of the time. Service was good, a couple of repairs were done quickly. We really enjoyed the patio and garden! Restaurants are close by but can get expensive.
I would stay there again and recommend it to others....Read more

My family and I spent three weeks in that enchanting house named "Le Cros" at Le Cannet in May 2013 and also in autumn 2012.
A really typical house in the heart of the French Provence, especially with its garden full of Mediterranean species: olive trees, orange trees, a big bay laurel tree, jasmine trees which give out delicious scents in the evening, many differently coloured morning glory flowers climbing high ...
When we had any queries Patrice was more than helpful and everything he and the owner told us was surpassed by the reality when we arrived.
The house contained all that anyone might need for a short or long stay and all the rooms were light and airy, with magnificent Provencal shutters and air conditioning throughout.
Le Cannet itself is a peaceful village with everything we needed in the way of beautiful French provisions, from bakers to butchers to fishmongers and more besides, including a delightful cinema d'Art et d'Essais at the bottom of the street.
Beautiful Musée Bonnard is just a 5-minute walk from the villa; many extremely interesting exhibitions are displayed throughout the year, particularly in summer.
The location also brought advantages in being away from the bustle of Cannes but within easy reach by frequent local busses, direct to the rail station, and reliable taxis.
Italy is very close: San Remo is just one hour's drive from Le Cannet, and Porto Fino less than 3 hours away.
Relaxing, peaceful, yet easily accessible, and last but not least, extremely reasonably priced.
I would recommend this property without hesitation to friends.

I stayed from Friday to Monday and I couldn't believe I had to leave this little paradise. It was so good to come back to le Cannet after La Croisette's madness.
Really lovely property, quiet and very sunny. The roof of grapes in the garden made me feel like in a true fairytale.
Amazing taste, loved the pink/ocre walls, very good beds and showers- very well restored.
I had a beautiful experience staying there and I would recommend this property to everyone.
