This tastefully decorated 3 bedroom unit over looks the club house and pool and is just steps away from the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. One of the very nicest homes in Barrier Dunes, you will fall in love with this unit. You will not find a nicer home in the Barrier Dunes complex. With 3 bedrooms ( 1 king, 1 queen and a full/twin bunk bed) and 3.5 baths, this condo comfortably sleeps 7 in beds and 2 on the sofa bed. Both master baths feature a large tub, separate shower and 2 sinks which allows each partner plenty of space in the morning. The master one has a King bed and the master suite on the top floor has a queen bed. Both masters have private blacony with gulf views. With a fully equipped kitchen and dining seats for 9 your family can enjoy home cooked meals after a long day at the beach or pool. The living area features a large TV, a DVD and two couches for relaxing in the evenings after dinner. The open living area opens up to a balcony with a table and gas grill. You can enjoy a morning coffee or evening tea on the balcony or grill out fresh gulf seafood. The unit has free Wi-Fi, free long distance, cable TV and flat screen TV's in every bedroom. The laundry room is right off the kitchen, which makes for easy use. You will enjoy a rather large book library located in two book cases next to the dinning area. Also in the book cases are several board games for your enjoyment. While these games are rather low tech, we continually receive great reviews from families that play these classics when they catch a day or so of questionable weather. Not to worry, our summer weather patterns generally are short showers in the morning or afternoon. While we do not guarantee the weather on Cape San Blas it is always better than "back home". Barrier Dunes has two pools and two tennis courts for your enjoyment. The pool in front of the condo is just 1 minute walk away and from the pool deck you exit on the other side to the Gulf of Mexico. The beach located in front of Barrier Dunes is maybe the nicest part of the entire Cape San Blas beach. You are very close to the State Park entrance also for easy bay and boating access.
Additional amenities include: games, coffee maker, 1st tier, ceiling fans in every room, nearby atm, outdoor shower, business, king in master bedroom, nearby medical services, golf course, nearby grocery, standard mixer, 1 regular TV, cookware, central air condition & heat, coffee maker in master bedroom, 3 flat screen TVs, near beach, washer & dryer, ironing board....Read more

Had a great time with the grandchildren who enjoyed the beach, pool, and fishing in the lake. Enjoyed being able to sit on the deck in the mornings and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise. Had a small problem with the air conditioning the second night but management corrected the problem quickly. Will definitely be back!

I was looking for a place on the panhandle which could accommodate my elderly dog, my husband's desire to be far from the crowds (aka: Panama City Beach), my mom's need for a pool, my dad's photography habit, and three young children. This was perfect. We made it to Port St. Joe for the Scallop Festival w/live music and some wonderful food and rides for the kids. We swam in the pool and ocean each day and even made it the the State Park. The property was in very good condition. It is in a gated community, so make sure you have your code with you when you arrive. It is very close to the pool and the beach- simply walk out the back and cross the street and there you are. My daughter enjoyed feeding carrots to the turtles in the pond out back. The kitchen had everything- even a slow cooker. There were 7 of us, (4 adults and 3 children) and there was plenty of space for all of us. We grilled out on the back deck a couple of nights and my son discovered the joys of scrabble. There were puzzles and games and a really lovely selection of nice books from every genre. Many people there have dogs and so they make it easy for you. We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable vacation and I have already recommended it to my friends.
Thank you for your review on Signal by the Sea. CapeSan Blas is like a step back in time to Old Florida style family vacationing. We are so glad you found your new vacation spot here on Cape San Blas and we look forward to your returning soon!

We were looking for a comfortable beach home with a pool within walking distance to the beach, and Signal by the Sea more than fit the bill. The home was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. We were surprised by the number of amenities in the home. Cape San Blas proved to be a very laid back, family oriented community. We didn't have to worry about the kids playing on the beach or in the shallow waters, and we didn't have to worry about leaving our things on the beach to play out in the water with the kids or run back to the beach house for lunch or a nap. The two pools at Barrier Dunes were great and never crowded. Don't miss the beach at the state park. Its right next door and the shelling there was awesome. We had a couple of questions at check-in and Jerry, with Beach Time Vacation Rentals, was available to us and very helpful. We will definitely return and hope Signal by the Sea is available!
Thank you for your review of A Signal by the Sea. This home and two pools in a gated community along with a beautiful stretch of beach near the State Park sets up well for great family vacations. We look forward to seeing you again and remember the fall is a great time to visit Cape San Blas!

The grounds were well kept. The beach is beautiful with the dunes and sea grass. Jerry was always available and helpful. The only drawback to the property is the fact that it was a little remote. Although there are a couple of convenience stores on the Cape, everything else was a drive into either Port St Joe or Apalachicola.
