“Perfect Location, Highest Recommendation” I planned to spend 2 nights and ended up spending six. This is the perfect location to stay near Cape Town. The ocean on one side, mountains on the other with magnificent sunsets. A stones throw to the beach, Camps Bay is very close with all the shops, resturants and bars. The suites are perfectly furnished, comfortable and spotless with luxurious private bath. Chrissie and Barry are the perfect hosts and are most helpful in any way needed. They provided great advice in regards to things to see and do. Having a glass of South african wine on the terrace, chatting about the days activities and watching the sunset was the perfect ending to the day. My highest recommendation!

About Cape Town Central

The friendly and cosmopolitan city of Cape Town is located on one of the most naturally spectacular stretches of shore in the world. Perched on the southern tip of the African continent, the city is surrounded by ocean and a unique coastal landscape. Just outside the city, Boulder's Beach is a great place to relax and check out the colony of resident penguins. For divers, Cape Town is also an appealing location, with a tremendous diversity of fish, coral, and geology under the sea.

When you arrive, consider taking a guided tour of the city, which will introduce you to the region's people, customs, and cuisine. A land of natural bounty, Cape Town is justifiably proud of its food and wine. Check out the delicious dining options in the Gardens or Waterkant districts, or visit the trendy Observatory neighborhood for a more bohemian vibe and ethnic food. If you want to make a day of it, take a trip to the Franschhoek Valley, one of the premiere wine growing regions in South Africa.

Here are a few additional suggestions of things to do in Cape Town:

  • Table Mountain: You can climb to the 3,000-foot summit of Table Mountain to enjoy some of the most breathtaking views in all of Africa.
  • Cape of Good Hope: Also called Cape Point, this nature reserve is filled with spectacular scenery and views of the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Robben Island: Nelson Mandela was once an inmate at this former island prison, now an interesting museum.
  • South African National Art Gallery: This museum maintains a collection of European and African art from the 19th and 20th century.
  • Two Oceans Aquarium: This fun and family friendly aquarium has massive displays of flora and fauna from the Indian and Atlantic Ocean.
  • Victoria and Albert Waterfront: This 19th century harbor was transformed into a chic shopping center with plenty of restaurants, bars, entertainment, and a promenade.

Visiting Cape Town is even better in a luxury vacation rental like a spacious beach house. If you want to stay in the middle of the city, look for an apartment or condo in the Gardens neighborhood or near the Waterfront, where the city's attractions will be within walking distance. If you've come to Africa for nature, seek out a private villa near the coast or a cozy cabin in the wine country.

Luxury 2 Bedroomed Apartment on Cape Towns Foreshore.
Elegent Luxury

What you see on the web is what you get! Best bed I have slept in, wife loved the mod decor. All high end furnishings. Awesome pool but a bit cold, fully fitted gym on the 4th floor. The sushi bar on the ground floor was a plus, ate there almost everyday, they also have a pasta bar. We walked to the waterfront, a short walk but worth it, the V&A; waterfront has everything you could want. Very central location and easy reach to all the city shops. Thanks Georges for the great service, will definitely book again.see more
Bakoven (Camps Bay) Tuscan Villa
Beautiful villa, beautiful location.

We had a wonderful time at the villa in beautiful Camps Bay! Location is perfect. The rooms were lovely. Spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you may need. Traveling with family we enjoyed the courtyard in the evening. Barry and Chrissie took very good care of us. Made to order breakfast was included and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again should we have the opportunity.see more

Old School Hospitality in trendy Camps Bay

It has become something of an annual ritual to celebrate someone's birthday in Cape Town from within our circle of friends. This year I was tasked with finding suitable accommodation for our weekend long party. And I found the ideal base for our crew with hosts who themselves have a penchant for a good party. Camps Bay was the perfect location, very trendy with access to the beautiful beaches of Camps Bay. Just a pity that one can't find a meal beyond 10pm!!!Thank God for the Bay Hotel and their sensational club sandwich. But back to the accommodation I selected in Camps Bay owned by Christine and Barry. The house has 2 fabulous hotel type rooms with a delightful courtyard that enables guests in the rooms to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or pre-dinner drinks in the afternoon. Barry and Christine went out of their way to make our stay an exceptional one. From the fabulous breakfast that catered for all our tastes including those of us who are vegetarian to having ice on call at all hours of the night as well as key that enabled us access to the house for anything else we might need. The rooms are sumptuously decorated, extremely comfortable, although I have to admit I would rather have had the bathroom with the red velvet curtains!!!It just screamed absolute opulence! The rooms are exceptionally well maintained and the cleaning lady leaves the rooms in pristine condition daily. Just a minutes walk from the house is a private beach where people gather for an evening walk or a sun downer's to witness the spectacular sunset. Just the place to realise how blessed we are in the beauty of our country. Our departure from Cape Town was an early one and despite this Barry and Christine were more than happy to ensure an early breakfast. We declined the offer this time but we will take you up on it on our next stay ..and there will definitely be a next stay. As I said to our crew, you know you're in a fine establishment when your bathroom bin is Carol Boyes!see more
Lovely 1-Bedroom Apartment in De Waterkant. WiFi included
Great spot to stay

Recently we stayed 8 days at 410 Rockwell and were very happy with everything about the apartment...the location was excellent, close to a great supermarket and walking distance to the waterfront and the downtown. (gas station beside the bldg. was a little noisy a couple of nights but nothing that kept us awake). Building security was excellent and we always felt very safe.Underground parking was vg. Good restaurants are adjacent to the bldg. for evenings when you don't want to go far. Unit 410 was exactly as presented...very clean (cleaned again mid-week) and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Bed was comfortable as was LR furniture. Jenny, our host, was wonderful to deal with and responded quickly when we had a medical issue that we needed assistance with. We would definitely recommend that you stay at 410 Rockwell for your trip to Cape Town.see more
Fabulous 1-Bedroom De Waterkant Apartment. WiFi included
Wow!

I stayed at the 516 Rockwell from early March to mid-April. Jenny was extremely flexible and responsive with my booking as I had to get final word from my employer about my trip's duration. Payment was easy. The apartment beat all my expectations. The place was extremely well maintained and clean with modern furniture and all imaginable amenities (washer/dryer, satellite TV, WiFi, safe, etc.). The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning with Signal Hill to the left, Cape Town Stadium straight ahead with Robben Island in the horizon and the Waterfront and the harbor to the right. The Rockwell is part hotel, part apartment building. You have access to all amenities of a hotel including a fitness center with a pool as well as several bars and restaurants right in the building. They even offer room service. Access is extremely secure, the apartment has a dedicated parking spot. The de Waterkant neighborhood is lively and vibrant. The SPAR supermarket is just up the road and several great restaurants are within walking distance. Downtown Cape Town, including Long Street's bars and clubs are 10 minutes away. The MyCiti bus to Green Point, Camps Bay and Hout Bay leaves from Somerset Street in front of the hotel and the V&A Waterfront is easily accessible. All in all a wonderful stay and I cannot wait to return.see more
Spacious, 2 bedroom apartment with private garden, in trendy Tamboerskloof
Very comfortable and excellent reception

Were fifteen days enjoying all that cape town has to offer. And when we returned home we had a comfortable place with great accommodations, fine cuisine and a wonderful shower. Next to the bustling Kloof Street and in a great neighborhood. I can not forget to mention the reception and great company of Renoir and alec. Excellent!see more
