Located on the 2nd floor of a private apartment building in old street, apartment Monet has some of the best views of the ancient walled Cite from the light and airy lounge/dining area windows, providing the ideal base to explore all that Carcassonne and the area has to offer. Redecorated this winter, Monet offers spacious accommodation for a couple, although it is possible to sleep 2 on the comfortable sofa bed in the lounge. The Cite is but 5 minutes walk away, the main town centre 10 minutes walk. French tv,DVD player - discs can be supplied and wifi. The bedroom has a double bed and is to the back of the apartment. Airy modern fitted kitchen. The shower room has shower cubicle, wash-hand basin and wc. Electric wall heaters in each room. Fans provided. English owners live close by and can offer pick up from Carcassonne airport and station.

“Perfect escape”

We visited Carcassone staying at Cite View (Monet) in September 2016, we had an amazing break. Not only was the view of the citadel from the apartment fantastic, the facilities and welcome we received were excellent and just what you need to make your break complete. We visited the local shop for fresh produce each morning and were always greeted with a smile. Being able to relax and enjoy our time together, visiting the old and new city and taking a trip along the canal was a nice tourist aspect, knowing we could return to a little haven was the best part of our trip and that's why we are heading back this year and hopefully seeing more of the region. I can highly recommend staying at Cite View for a break away and in the knowledge that Inga and Mick are close at hand, if needed.

Response from the owner We always strive to make sure our guests are happy with the accommodation and facilities we provide, however the reason why no UK tv is available at the moment is due to the fact that our dish cannot pick up the signal from the satelite in space. This is beyond our control. We offer our guests DVD's if they wish at any time during their stay.
