This is Clint Eastwood's town, best known for being dog-friendly and its world-class vineyards. Hidden away in the woods, our cabin is like a treehouse with all the amenities . . . minutes from downtown, spectacular sand beaches and a tennis court around the corner. You'll find our cabin (not a log cabin as Flipkey indicates, but a rustic, board and batten) is . . . Simple. Comfortable. Cozy (250 sq ft) and Quiet. Decorated with a local artist's work in addition to a few quirky collectibles, the bungalow overlooks the Pebble Beach Forest Conservancy in a quiet residential neighborhood, but you'll find yourself very close to all the Peninsula has to offer.
This homey cabin also has a full bathroom with a shower, a sitting area with two comfortable armchairs, and a small cafe table. In the kitchenette, guests will find a microwave, a mini fridge, a coffee maker and tea kettle, toaster, and dishes and utensils. The kitchenette is best for light food preparation due to space limitations, but most guests who stay here eat out at the amazing local restaurants or barbecue and picnic at the beach. Other amenities include cable television, WIFI, heating, a hair dryer, an iron and board, towels, and off-street parking.
ASK ABOUT OUR TWO-NIGHT SPECIAL: Book two nights and receive a discount on the nightly rate (offer good through December 2015, special events excepted). Let me know first before actually booking and I'll manually enter the special rate of $120/night instead of $130. Offer applies to two night bookings only. A third person may be added on for an extra, a one-time fee of $25. The cabin is also pet-friendly and we encourage guests to bring along their furry companions for a one-time fee of $25/dog.
Weather is not as characteristically hot as many people think when they think of California. In fact, the average yearly temperature is 57 degrees Fahrenheit, with the hottest months being September and October with an average high of approximately 71 degrees Fahrenheit.
Please check the CALENDAR to determine whether we've been booked.
You'll be located on the same property as our family home, but totally detached from the house (about 50 steps down from the parking area) and with no other guests to disturb you. We're long-time residents, knowledgeable about the area and able to help you find some of the many unique spots guidebooks don't mention.
For those of you who have allergies, please keep in mind that Pets may have been in the room previously. Pets may not be left unattended and are not allowed on the furniture or bed. Pet bedding and food bowls to be supplied by guest. We can arrange pet sitters.
If you're visiting California's central coast for the first time, you'll find Carmel and the surrounding area an idyllic haven boasting nearly 100 miles of spectacular shoreline - described as the 'greatest meeting of land and sea.' The unbridled beauty of Carmel and Monterey County's landscape and the mild, year-round weather offer endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits. Family-centered activities abound and there truly is something for everyone.
Also, don't miss the Mission San Antonio de Padua which sits in the Valley of the Oaks on what was once the Milpitas unit of the Hearst Ranch. Of all the missions, this is my favorite . . . partly because it is in the middle of nowhere and also because the restoration was more sensitive to the Mission's style . . . in other words, it doesn't look like Disneyland.

Additional Location Information
Carmel is CLINT EASTWOOD'S town and guests will often bump into him at local restaurants (I've even seen him at the grocery store). We're a ten-minute walk to the post office and downtown restaurants, art galleries, and shopping. Although in a residential neighborhood, the cabin is situated near and overlooking the Pebble Beach Forest Conservancy, so spotting Bambi in the woods is likely as well.

Affordable, Charming, Comfortable, Convenient--Need I say more?
Left on 07/16/2012 for a stay in June 2012 | A FlipKey verified reviewer
This place is like a fairy tale. Shelley's home is a wonderland of succulents and beautiful little potted vignettes that inspire as you walk down to the cottage out back. The studio is packed with charm and comfort--a great balcony overlooking the forest, a comfy bed, sitting area and some yummy biscotti await you here. It's very well situated to see the tiny town of Carmel--all within walking distance to the beach, mission, shopping, restaurants. I would love to return--hopefully for a longer stay and a longer chat with Shelley, who was easy to talk to and a delightfully creative person. This place is well-worth the visit.
