“Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, well appointed, comfort”
Left on 03/12/2014 for a stay in February 2014 | SebastianReviewed Mar 12, 2014Stayed Feb 2014
From the moment we walked into the home we were greeted by a beautiful setting. There was a tray of wine, cheese, and crackers waiting for us which was a nice touch and appreciated after a long trip from the east coast. The family room is spacious and comfortable, perfect for entertaining friends and family and for just 'hanging out'. The dining area has room for good size group to sit and eat. The kitchen has high end appliances and was well appointed allowing for preparing food - our group are 'foodies' and enjoy cooking. The two spacious master suites are superior with very comfortable king beds, large closets, well appointed bathrooms, and fireplaces. There were plenty of bath towels in all the bathrooms. The other rooms where very comfortable also. The entire property was immaculate when we checked in. The mid-month cleaning also left the home in immaculate condition. Well worth the cost. The both the video on the website are accurate and in my opinion the home is even better in person.
It is obvious that owners wanted the renters to be comfortable and to have what was needed to enjoy their stay. The instructions book was well written, clear and complete. We thank them for that. We stayed the month of February and wished we could have stayed longer. We would rent this property again.
Lastly, our Santuary contact was outstanding who anticipated our needs. In fact the entire rental process was very professional and friendly.

Looking for some space in Carmel by the Sea where the average home seems to be about 1,700 square feet? This place is not only on a very quiet street (with nice neighbors!) but has room for 8 comfortably with no hassle and is around 3,000 square feet. Sanctuary advertises sleeping for 10-12, but if you are staying a while, 8 is the good number. Plus, it is beautiful, extremely well stocked in the kitchen and baths (better than your home unless you are a gourmet cook), and all the amenities that are hard to find in Carmel...clean garage for two cars, big dining area, oversized closets. Il Fornaio restaurnt on Ocean ave. is a 6 minute walk, the dog beach with access at 4th is a 5 minute walk.
Add the Sanctuary service (no I am not employed by them) that includes same day resolution of any issues, and you have a great getaway!
