Description
A charming cosy cottage at Greenbank, Cartmel, Cumbria with beautiful valley, fell and sea views, set on its own in farm land on a very quiet route in restful countryside. Easily accessible from outside the Lake District with the sea 3 miles away. Shops and other facilities are available a mile away in Cartmel. Refurbished, fully equipped and very comfortable, centrally heated accommodation with open fireplace and an extensive walled garden, an ideal location all the year round as the area benefits from the mild climate generated by the Gulf Stream. Woodland Cottage sleeps 4 - one double and one twin bedded room - and has a fully-fitted kitchen and bathroom with shower over a full-sized bath. There's a utility room with natural drying facilities along with a washer-drier. A cot and highchair are available on request. WiFi. Gold Award for Green Tourism. The cottage is 400 yards from the owners' home. There are lots of walks nearby with all sorts of profiles, from very active to relaxed. Pets are accepted but there is a small charge. A riding school, quad bike rental, motor museum, aquarium, historic churches and stately home are all nearby, and it's a great base for easy access to the Lakes and west coast, with so many and varied things to do. Situated a mile north of Cartmel in the South Lakes Peninsulas of the Lake District in the Northwest of England, it is about 2 hours' drive from Manchester. 15 miles from the M6 motorway junction 36. The nearest railway stations are at Cark and Cartmel and Grange-over-Sands.

“our stay at woodland”
We had a lovely relaxing time at Woodland. It was clean, cosy, and welcoming. Views where amazing and our dog loved the freedom of the garden. Great location for a relaxed break.

“Rural Retreat”
Woodland cottage is a lovely place to stay. It is near Cartmel for those that need a village close by and yet the setting of the cottage is wonderful, particularly if you have a dog. The garden is superb and enclosed which is very useful. The cottage is just as described by John H the owner who cares about his visitors and ensures you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. If you are looking for 5 star luxury with gold plated fittings then try The Swan Hotel at Newby Bridge- but if you want down to earth home comfort, in a cozy cottage then this is the place to stay.
