Surrounding Area: This ancient and charming village is located in one of the best wine making regions in France-St Chinian. It is close to the National Park of the Haut Languedoc and contains a bread shop, grocery store, post office and local bar. A large supermarket is located 15 minutes away at Murviel-les-Beziers. The surrounding region varies from low plains to gently rolling countryside to high plateaux and mountainous terrain. The lovely beaches of the Mediterranean coast such as Valras and Vias and are 30 minutes drive away with golden sands, swimming, jet skis, sailing etc. Cycling, walking, golf, canoeing and horse riding are easily accessible nearby. Roquebrun which is 10 minutes drive away has a wonderful river swimming area with waterfalls and paddling area. Nearby ancient towns include Agde, Marsellian, Béziers and further afield Montpellier and Carcassonne. There are numerous local markets, excellent restaurants, ancient villages and wine making properties selling their own wines to visit.
