Description

The gite is set in large garden which is on various levels with its own natural waterfall. You enter the gite by the kitchen diner which is bright and cheerful. It is fully equipped and has a dining table and chairs. The gite has fuel central heating (there is a surcharge for heating) and also there is a small wood burning stove which can be lit to warm any cool evenings. There are 2 comfortable two seater settee's for relaxing. The bedroom off the lounge area is en suite with shower and has lovely views over the gardens and waterfall. The second bedroom is reached by an external staircase and is also en suite with shower and views of the gardens and waterfall.

The garden is equipped with tables and chairs, sun loungers and BBQ. It is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the wonderful surrounding countryside while listening to the waterfall and birdsong. There are many good walks from the gite which offer a chance to take in the local flora and fauna.

“Tidy compact cottage in pretty surroundings where you can make the most of the weather and relax.”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2012

We (Myself my husband and son) enjoyed our week in ths cottage. It is in a quiet village near a small town with several shops cafes and market. It is an easy walk taking about 20 to 30 minutes by road or footpath It is small and compact with kitchen and sitting room all togetner but had every thing we needed (No TV or diswasher). It is set in a big gardern close to the owners larger house but no one was there so it was very quiet. The water fall and pools in the garden were lovely to paddle in when it had just rained but dried out later in the week. Lovely to hear the water flowing and a lovely place to come back to after a day out. We barbequed several nights and sat out til late in the evening watching the clear sky full of stars. A car is needed to access any visits you may want to do though there are some pretty walks near by (if it is not too hot). I found it easy to contact the owner and to book , which we did as alast minute booking.
