Located on the gorgeous Leelanau Peninsula, The Hideaway is an immaculate air conditioned home, on 100 feet of prime, private lakefront property, providing magnificent views of scenic South Lake Leelanau from inside or out. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen, and one with 2 twin beds, blankets and pillows (no linens), and each bedroom has a ceiling fan. The living room has a queen size hide-a-bed, ceiling fan, an entertainment center with AM/FM stereo/CD/cassette, and remote color cable television and DVD/VCR. The Hideaway has a large wrap-around deck with comfortable furniture and a gas grill, directly overlooking the lake. Lawn furniture, a picnic table and a fire pit by the water (firewood provided) are all included so that you can enjoy the incredible views of the lake from every angle at any time of the day or night.
The gently sloping lakeshore and sandy bottom provide excellent swimming. A private swim raft is provided for your enjoyment. Lake Leelanau has some of the best fishing in Michigan, and a dock and rowboat are provided. The Solon Twp. public access is conveniently located, ¼ mile away, and additional lake access points are available just minutes away if you bring your own boat.
With a beautiful sand bottom, this shallow cove is wonderfully protected. Lake Leelanau is a 23 mile long lake, with the south end in Traverse City and the north end is Leland. Of course, there is great boating on this all-sports lake that’s large enough that you won't ever feel crowded. Spend a leisurely day boating to the town of Lake Leelanau, or Leland and its famous Fishtown, for shopping, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Excellent golf courses, wineries and restaurants abound in the area, or a short drive takes you to the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan.
The Hideaway is just minutes from Traverse City, Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (named "The Most Beautiful Place in America" by Good Morning America), Sugar Loaf Resort and numerous other golf courses, Leland, Suttons Bay, Glen Arbor and Northport and all that these wonderful destinations have to offer.
