Additional Location Information

The apartment is on a 3 acre property surrounded by trees near a quiet residential district but only a short drive to the heritage district of Charlottetown where you can enjoy strolling along a beautiful waterfront boardwalk, take bus and walking tours and visit historic Province House where plans to create the country of Canada were made in 1864. You can take in the Anne of Green Gables Musical at the Confederation Centre or see the sequel - Anne and Gilbert-at the Guild Theatre.
All year long there are festivals and gatherings- most notably "Old Home Week" and the God Cup and Saucer Parade in August - harness racing is a big sport on the Island. Confederation Landing Park and Peakes Quay on the harbourfront are great spots for souvenir shopping and to see lots of free entertainment.
There are too many terrific restaurants to mention but the seafood is great everywhere and you can also enjoy local beers and wines.. You must attend one of the many ceilidhs in the area where traditional Island music and dancing are featured.
Charlottetown is a historic city with a wealth of preserved early and late Victorian heritage buildings in stone, brick and wood, churches with spectacular interiors and local folks with warm hearts who welcome visitors.
