2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Charlottetown

You will love "Summerlee"- for its prime location on a quiet park in the heritage district of Prince Edward Island's capital city and for its reasonable rates. It is a five minute stroll to the waterfront boardwalk or the Confederation Trail and a couple of minutes walk from the best restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and theatres. Getting to one of our famous beaches is an easy drive - Brackley is 20 minutes away and there are golf courses even closer than that. This is a central spot from where you can tour the Island easily - 15 minutes from the airport and 40 minutes from the bridge or the ferry. The house was built in 1860 ...Read more

Additional Location Information

Summerlee is in the heart of Charlottetown close to historic sites like Province House, Founders Hall ,Saint Dunstan's Cathedral and Beaconsfield House and is not far from great eating and free entertainment on Victoria Row and Peake's Wharf on the waterfront. It is a short walk from the new convention centre and Confederation Centre of the Arts where you can see the Anne of Green Gables musical. The Guild stage is even closer where the Anne and Gilbert musical runs and City Cinema is a couple of blocks from there too, showing the best movies. For all this convenience, guests are surprised at how quiet it is on Sydney Streeet. There are corner stores and coffee shops nearby and the city centre mall is four blocks away where you can also catch the bus. Taxi service is efficient and not expensive. The finest dining is on the doorstep but there is also reasonable eating at the Olde Dublin Pub and the Gahan House up the street- it is not hard to find a locally made beer or a glass of Island made wine. The most popular seafood place is on the corner of Prince and Water and I am always happy to recommend the best entertainment Island wide, including ceilidhs which feature Island music and dancing.
I know a lot about local history as well and give guided architectural walking tours. Charlottetown is a historic city with a wealth of preserved early and late Victorian heritage buildings in stone, brick and wood, churches with spectacular interiors and local folks with warm hearts - mine is Scottish!
