Additional Location Information

The house is in a very private location set 500 feet back from the road on 40 acres with no neighbors in sight. The house is in the middle of mostly open fields and the pond is a few hundred feet away. There is a marked trail through the woods. The house is on top of a hill with spectacular views toward sunset and the Keweenaw ridge with very little human impact in sight. Overall, expect a peaceful experience that is less than a half mile from US-41 with easy access to the (email: hidden)ractions of the Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan's most scenic area full of lakes, waterfalls and rugged terrain, even mountains like Mt. Bohemia and Mt. Of course, you are also surrounded by the wonderful Lake Superior lakeshore.

Houghton-Hancock 12 miles away is the home to Michigan Technological University with a vibrant cultural scene in a very historic city built during the copper boom more than 100 years ago. Two National Parks are near as well as several State Parks. The property has great amenities for people and pets, which are always welcome, and forms a super base to explore the Keweenaw. There is lots of parking even in the winter.
