Pondside - Water Views and a Natural Quiet Setting

Pondside is a quaint and quiet nature-lover’s paradise! Close to town and beaches, this charming non-smoking home is situated on more than an acre of woodland between three picturesque kettle ponds. The house sits just fifty feet from one small pond that’s perfect for fishing and kayaking. Next door there’s a larger freshwater pond with a secluded public beach and a sandy bottom that makes it ideal for swimming.

Enjoy pond views (hence the name!) from the deck, dining room, living room, kitchen, master bedroom and master bathroom. Bring your bike along (or rent one) and take advantage of Pondside’s proximity to the 6-plus mile (10 km) ...Read more

Additional Location Information

Chatham is well-known for its long, storied place in American history. Located at the "elbow" of Cape Cod halfway between Falmouth and Provincetown, the small community was once a major shipping, fishing, and whaling center. Chatham's early prosperity left us with a considerable number of 18th century buildings, whose antique charm helped it develop into a popular summer resort, and Chatham’s primary industry is now tourism. In addition to ample artistic offerings such as galleries, museums, theaters, and writing workshops, Chatham is also peppered with a myriad of unique places to eat, drink, and shop. A walk down Main Street is a wonderful way to wind down after a trip to the beach. The town band performs free summer concerts from the gazebo, and the Chatham Anglers play nearby as part of the Cape Cod Baseball League for collegiate-age players. The town also has many salt water and freshwater ponds, great for fishing, swimming, and boating. Nantucket is a accessible for even daytrips using the high speed ferry from Harwich Point. Conservation land still covers many parts of Chatham. We’ve walked every one of them, and we’re only too pleased to recommend our favorite hikes to our lodgers!
