Additional Location Information

Hike White Mountain trails just behind the cabin. Kayak, canoe, swim, fish, sail and windsurf on our remote, quiet lake. Holiday weekends seldom have more than 4-6 boats on the lake. Fly fish the Ellis River, Wild River, Androscoggin, Saco and ponds and lakes. For the children, StoryLand is only 30 minutes away! Enjoy restaurants, cinemas, summer theater and extensive shopping in over 200 brand name outlets in North Conway, 20 minutes away. In winter, cross country ski or snow shoe on the lakes and nearby trails. Snowmobile rentals are available nearby, with extensive network of trails connecting New Hampshire, Maine and Canada! Downhill ski at Cranmore, Shawnee Peak, Attitash, Wildcat, Black Mountain, Bretton Woods or Sunday River, all within about 1 hour.

Hiking begins in the White Mountain trails just behind this home with the Province Pond Trail and the Kearsarge Mountain trail off Hurricane Mountain road. Continue up ME 113 N about 6 miles to the Appalachian Mountain Club Cold River Camp, the Bald Face trails and Evan's Notch. The hiking areas include Pinkham Notch and the Presidential Range. Fly fish the Ellis River, Wild River, Androscoggin, Saco and ponds and lakes. Only minutes away in Fryeburg is the beautiful, meandering Saco River, a sandy bottomed delight to canoe/kayak & camp. Numerous canoe rental and shuttles operators provide drop off and pick up services. Or take our canoe across the lake and into Kimball Brook, where moose might be seen around every turn.
