A spacious house in a central location

Left on Nov 05, 2010 for a stay in August 2010

There were plenty of bedrooms (all with bathrooms) for the whole family which meant we had our own spaces. The living area was very spacious. The kitchen was not especially well equipped but as we ate out most of the time this did not bother us much. The garden would be good for eating out though we didn't use it. There is loads to do in the area and some great places to eat especially the …

Cheap and cheerful

Left on May 14, 2010 for a stay in February 2010

Overall this cottage represented good value for money, and I can recommend it on that account.

On the good side, the furnishings were quite new and of reasonable quality, both in the living room and in the bedrooms.

On the downside:
- The diswasher was too small and too underpowered. It didn't get the crocks clean; many of the plates and glasses etc were just slightly dirty when we arrived; …

Peaceful retreat convenient for lots of activities

Left on Dec 02, 2009 for a stay in April 2008

The cottage was very tidy and well appointed. We had snow while we were there, but the house was plenty warm enough, even for our 3 girls, who enjoyed playing in the field next door and the cycling and walking right on the doorstep. A short stroll across the field to the old railway, which proved very popular and we cycled and walked around the vicinity, with some trips slightly further afield …

Peace and tranquility, in a lovely modern barn conversion

Left on May 31, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Absolutely loved my stay. The owners were really friendly, and had clearly made a real effort with the property. Gorgeous modern bathroom, lovely kitchen, cosy living room and bedroom. Clean and well presented, with lots of little personal touches - without being overbearing, and definitely not outdated (which has been my experience in many other self-catering cottages). I almost wish the weather…
