Luxury and a Great Value.. City & McCormick Place.
Description from the owner
We have two really incredible vacation rental apartments.
The view in our first picture is our large hot tub. It's your new best friend after a day of travel, sightseeing, or business. The next photo is the amazing Chicago City Skyline view from our deck (closed in winter when there is snow and ice). They are both great places to relax. We also have a huge walk in shower with Grohe body sprays and steam bath generator. Please see these in our pictures section.
We are offering great spring special rates. The best rates are for 4 night or longer rentals. Please email with your dates and we will send you our very best rates. Rates range from $150 to $225 per night. The lowest rates are for last minute and longer rental.
We lived in this building ourselves for many years . We completely renovated our building with many great amenities that you won't find in many rentals.
We are experienced owners and have never had more than a minor complaint. We have around hundreds of guest comments from previous guests at the many sites that we have ads at. We are proud to say that all of our reviews are 4 or 5 stars. Please see our reviews in this ad and we will send you a few more when you send an inquiry.
If this apartment isn't available, we have another apartment that might be. It's also listed here on Flipkey.
Our rentals are located very close to our Downtown city center. Ours is a safe and quiet neighborhood.
The expressway that gets you around the city in minutes is close and public transportation is close and easy. The train that goes to every major attraction in the city is a short walk. It is very fast to get anywhere from our building.
We are close to our convention center, McCormick Place. If you are coming for a conference at McCormick Place, please let us know when you inquire and we'll send travel information.
PLEASE CHECK OUR UPDATED AVAILABILITY CALENDAR BEFORE INQUIRING.
Each apartment has a full bathroom with the luxurious shower as shown in our photo section. There is an additional half bath that is shared that is located in our basement that both apartments use as a backup.
We are located on a quiet and peaceful block. Our daily newspaper, the Chicago Sun Times recently reported that our neighborhood was voted the best place to trick or treat based on the safety and the family atmosphere of our area. This is what they had to say.
The best neighborhood for trick-or-treating in Chicago? Bridgeport, says Zillow. They factored in where a kid's likely to get 'the most candy, with the least walking and minimal safety risks.' Bridgeport gets props fas 'really a family neighborhood.
We have fully stocked modern kitchens. We include one garage parking space with your rental.
AN IMPORTANT NEW DEVELOPMENT CONCERNING VACATION RENTALS IN CHICAGO.
The City of Chicago has a new ordinance that regulates vacation rentals.
We are a legal and licensed vacation rental and our license number is 2074660.
Enforcement of this Ordinance has begun. Unlicensed properties can be shut down by the city and/or their condo association at any time. For these and other reasons, we recommend that you book your rental with a licensed Vacation Rental Owner.
Our cancellation policy is a $100 cancellation fee if 45 days or more from arrival, and a $250 fee from 45 to 30 days from arrival, Cancellation less than 30 days from arrival are non refundable unless we can re-rent the dates to someone else. Then we would refund whatever we get for as many of those dates as we can rent at last minute rates, minus the applicable cancellation fee.
Add... per stay
Damage Deposit $200 per stay
Our cleaning costs $100 per stay
This site's quotable rates are not very accurate for how we price our rentals. Our per night rates are lower for longer rentals and we always have a range of rates. There is no one nightly or weekly rate. Our rates depend on the season, the length, and timing of your stay. Our 5 or 7 night rates are a better per night rate than 3 or 4 nights.
We have a 3 or 4 night minimum or more at all times although we will offer 3 or sometimes 2 night rentals at the last minute when we have a higher minimum. Our rates vary from $120 to $240 per night and $775 to $1,575 per week. Our rates always depend on the timing and length of your stay.
Our best rates are for longer stays. Shorter stays are priced higher due to fixed costs. Rates for Winter are our lowest guest rates and rates for Summer, major holidays and special events are our high season rates.
We don't allow parties or gatherings of any kind. Our rentals are not a good fit for the very late night or very hard partying crowd. We require the guest renting the apartment to be an adults of 25 years of age or older. Occasionally we will make slight exceptions on this age limit for families with children and responsible adults who are not coming here to party. Our guests and our neighbors appreciate that we have a quiet and peaceful environment.
The maximum capacity of the apartment is 6 people in 3 queen beds (and an air bed that can be set up for one extra sleeping space). We will sometimes make slight adjustments on these limits with prior approval.
Our personal cancellation policies vary from what is listed on this site. This site is not set up to display our very customized policies. This site's policies regarding cancellation fees and deposits will apply if you book your rental through this site. If you reserve your rental through us, our deposits are less and our personal cancellation policies are more forgiving. Our policy is a $100 cancellation fee if canceled 45 days or more from the rental and a $250 cancellation fee if canceled between 45 and 30 days from the rental. This policy is adjusted for rentals that are longer than 7 nights and for some special events. If there is a cancellation less than 30 days from the rental (or in the case of early departure during your rental), refunds are only made if we can re-rent the dates to someone else. Then we would refund whatever we get for as many of those dates as we can re-rent at normal or last minute rates, minus the applicable cancellation fee....Read more

"Awesome Place!! Totally Worth the Price! You Won't Want to Leave"

We stayed at Bob's 2nd Floor apartment over the Labor Day weekend to go to the Cubs/Phillies games and do some sightseeing and totally loved it! It has 2 decent sized bedrooms along with a pull-out sofa in the living room. The living room also has a great 60" HD TV along with Bose Surround sound system hooked up! The place has a nice sized kitchen and you can even grill outside. The place even has a rooftop deck to sit up and relax on and offers an excellent view of downtown Chicago. His place even has a hot tub!!
It is literally right next to U.S. Cellular Field(White Sox) and close to public transportation as well and is just a short commute to Wrigley as well as to downtown if you want to do some sightseeing. There are also plenty of places close by to dine, shop, etc and you can even park your car in the garage and not have to worry about paying for parking.
Bob, the owner is great and really friendly and goes out of his way to make sure you are well taken care of during your stay.
So, if ever you travel to the Windy City, do yourself a favor and book your stay with Bob so you won't be stuck in a cramped hotel room and you will have all the luxuries of home!

Read more
Merci Jean-Francois. We really appreciate great guests like you and your family.
I will post the English translation here also.
A really good place to spend a few days in Chicago at a reasonable price. Bob was extremely helpful and friendly and will answer any practical questions you can ask yourself before your arrival and during the stay.
The large hot spa is definitely a plus. The apartment is well equipped, located in a quiet residential area, you can easily reach different subway lines and find themselves in the heart of the Loop, a brief address that we recommend.

"We feel very fortunate we were able to connect with Bob and stay"

We actually stayed for a week in December 2012 and a second week in January 2013 while we were in Chicago for our son's surgery. We felt right at home and Bob had considered every possible detail for his guests right down to laundry soap and fabric softener for the laundry to coffee and tea in the kitchen. The apartment was spotless and the amenities like the big screen TV with surround sound and the computer made it seem just like home. We had struggled with parking in a previous rental before we met Bob who provides a garage as well as additional on street parking if needed. The shower spa was very nice and we enjoyed the hot tub as we were in town for some very significant surgical procedures for our youngest son these helped us to relax. Finally (although I could go on and on about how great our stay was) Bob had assembled a very thoughtful book of places to eat, shop, museums to visit and things to do as well as transportation availability. We could not have been more pleased with both of our stays at Bob's place and will certainly stay again as well as recommend it to our friends. Sincerely Scott & Anita Getman Read more
Thank you Scott, Anita, and Trevor for staying with us and for your exceptionally nice comments. We are so glad that the surgeries went well and that you enjoyed recovering in our rental.

We recently made a trip to Chicago to visit our son and his fiance, and to meet her family. Bob's apartment was an excellent choice for this occasion. First of all, this apartment is conveniently located just south of city central, near the White Sox stadium, with easy access on and off the Dan Ryan Expressway. This apartment was loaded with amenities. We really appreciated garage parking, key-coded entry, and if it hadn't been raining for much of our visit, we would have enjoyed the wonderful outside grilling space in the back yard or the amazing skyline view from the rooftop sitting area. We were, however, able to enjoy relaxing in the massive hot tub one night. The apartment itself offered comfort and a homey feel with plenty of space. The two bedrooms allowed my daughter to have her own bedroom for a change, and my son was very comfortable on the pull-out couch. The extremely well-equipped kitchen allowed for us to host a meal for our son's future in-laws which also provided us a relaxed atmosphere to visit and get acquainted. The guys also enjoyed watching some of the baseball playoffs on the huge screen tv. All in all, we had a great weekend, with a great space to entertain and be together with family. I should also mention that Bob was a very gracious host. My husband contacted him a couple of times with questions, and each time Bob replied promptly and with a wealth of information. I would definitely recomment this place, and we would love to stay again should we visit Chicago again.

This condo was a perfect place for a girlfriend-getaway. We were within walking distance to the stadium and public transportation. The hot tub and roof deck were an immediate hit! Prior to our stay, the owners provided a great deal of helpful information about navigating the city, including an online map. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation location. Very responsive owners and the rental process couldn't have gone any smoother. I would definitely do this again & recommend this rental to others. Thanks!
"Comfy local feeling close to public transportation"
Left on 07/17/2012 for a stay in July 2012 | A FlipKey verified reviewerReviewed Jul 17, 2012Stayed Jul 2012
Had a nice neighborhood feel that was just two blocks from public transportation. Safe neighborhood with a deli just around the corner. We walked two blocks to the bus and then rode for maybe 6 blocks to the train station and took the red line train to most places. Great way to travel without car. Purchased 3-day CTa (bus and train)passes for $14 that probably saved us over $100 in parking fees and much driving anxiety. It was recommended that we not take the train after 8 p.m. but otherwise it felt very safe and more like being a local. We did have a car and went to restaurants within a two mile radius in the evenings. The price for the rental included the travel concierge services of Bob the owner for a few weeks before and during the stay. He sent many many recommendations of activities, restaurants, and places of interest. Parking is insane on Sox home games but garage is included, thankfully. My mother-in-law felt safe enough to walk the two blocks alone to the catholic church on a Sunday morning.
Apartment itself was comfy with room to spread out. Kids liked the satellite 60 inch television. The one bathroom had a great shower but a bit skimpy on counter space. There is a spare no frills bathroom in the basement if someone is occupying the single bathroom. Apartment is upstairs which means lugging the suitcases upstairs. The hot tub and grill are shared between the two apartments and we never did try them but our neighbors did. Appreciated having computer access while we were there.
Would recommend this to other travelers, especially families.
"Spacious, well-equipped, comfortable condo in nice neighborhood"

We were very glad to stay in this condo in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. The condo was spacious and very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen that has everything you'd need. The neighborhood was friendly and safe, and the owner was very helpful and welcoming. The condo was spotless, well-maintained and had multi-spray shower heads which felt very relaxing after running around Chicago. We highly recommend this condo and look forward to staying there again in the future.

First, we arrived late at the apartment but still, thanks to the electronic lock on the front door, we could enter without the owner being present. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. There was everything you could imagine in terms of kitchen accessories to help us cook anything. The rooftop was closed for repairs at the time of our vacation but the owner was frank about it and told us beforehand. Instead, we used each day the great hot tub downstairs. The subway is less than 10 minutes from the apartment, so the city is easily accessible. I'm pretty sure for my next trip to Chicago, I will be back there for sure. Thanks Bob!

This flat really exceeded our expectations. My wife and I have traveled a lot with our four children (now Teenagers) and this is one of the best places we have stayed. Very easy to get downtown. Everything in the apartment is new and in excellent condition. Garage for the car. Kitchen had all the pots, pans, and tools we could possibly need. Owners were helpful, provided great information about the neighborhood and the city, and easy to work with.

The first thing that I noticed was how very clean the apartment was! This is usually the first thing that I look for and I was truly impressed with this. It is a beautiful apartment that is very open and spacious. The rooftop deck is perfect for hanging out and enjoying the city views, gorgeous! The shower is absolutely amazing, love the body sprays!
Another thing that I found very impressive was the accessibility to the owner. If we needed anything, he answered the phone right away. Very great service!
This apartment truly did feel like a home away from home. It had anything that you could want or need. We have two young children and it was a great place to stay with the amenities of home.
If/when we come back to Chicago, we will definitely stay here again! Read more
