The Villa is located the beautiful in countryside of the Tuscan Upper Maremma, an area of great historical, artistic and cultural interest. The villa is an ideal destination for those in search of a peaceful, relaxing vacation but can also be used as a base for exploring the beautiful Tuscan cities of art. Siena and Florence are excellent locations for day trips, as are San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and the Chianti region. The breathtaking landscapes of the Val d’Orcia are only kilometres away. Enjoy the delicious local foods to be found in the nearby centres of Montalcino and Pienza. The famous Montepulciano wine region can also be reached in a short drive. The location makes it perfect for exploring the lesser-known, but no less enchanting, villages on Monte Amiata. Arcidosso, Castel del Piano, Santa Fiora are ideal locations to relax while escaping the summer heat. The sandy beaches of the Tyrrhenian Sea, like those found in Marina di Grosseto, Populonia, or Marina di Alberese in the Maremma Nature Park can be reached in under an hour. Other beaches of note are Punt’Ala, Castiglione della Pescaia, Follonica, Talamone and Monte Argentario. For those looking for something a little closer to home, besides the swimming pool , the Petriolo Thermal Baths are only a few kilometres away. History lovers can visit the castles at Monte Antico or at Poggio alle Mura, home of the famous Brunello di Montalcino produced by the Banfi estate. Many other small villages in the area are rich in culture and tradition.
