This was the perfect spot to gather our family from across the state and have a wonderful Labor Day weekend together before returning to the routines of fall and school, etc. We spent a day at the clubhouse, enjoying the pool, sand volleyball, and basketball. And we spent a day fishing and floating in the river. Evenings, sharing meals, movies, and playing games. Fabulous house, oozing with hospitality.Really appreciated the gates and toys for our 15-month old granddaughter. Loved it all!

We recently had a girls reunion with nine friends from college. There were plenty of beds for everyone. The home is absolutely stunning with a beautiful deck and an incredible view. The kitchen is well-equipped to cook all of our meals. We spent the afternoon at the community pool and it was such a relaxing day to spend an afternoon. I would recommend this home for any large group or multi-family reunions.

The house we stayed in, Alpine Lodge, was really beautiful. However the owners seem to be very picky about certain things, which was kind of annoying, so I probably would not stay there again. For example, there is a bar area that you can't put keys, drinks, etc on top of so it doesn't get scratched. Here's an idea: put a glass top on it so you don't have to worry about it! Also, only 5 minute showers are allowed. When I'm on vacation I do not want to limit my showers to 5 minutes. Finally, there's a fair bit of work required to clean up (stripping beds, starting laundry, cleaning dishes). Again, when I'm on vacation I'd prefer to leave those details to someone else (especially with the rate that is charged to rent this place). Overall it is a very nice property but I'd probably stay somewhere else next time.
Hi Luda,We're glad you enjoyed it! We love the sledding hill as well. We hope you can visit again this winter.Sincerely,Kevin & Wendie

After our vacation plans were cancelled in Leavenworth due to bad weather and power outages and closed roads, we were forced to go looking for a different property, and we ran into this place...we were so glad we did! We reserved the Alpine Lodge the day before we were supposed to leave, and we were relieved to only have to cross one pass! It was very convenient for us as we had 2 families staying there, each with 2 kids! We had plenty of room to spread out and watch movies, play games, read, and sleep! We cooked some of our favorite meals and desserts (they had all sorts of baking and cooking tools and plenty of dishes). The best part of this place was having the private sledding hill (with the dryer for wet clothes) and the Christmas decorations! Our kids were troopers, spending at least 4-5 hours each day on the runs...we had 2.5 feet of fresh snow, and it was a blast! We loved that it was lit, and each night, we were all out there playing until 10 p.m. some nights! Our husbands were loving the chance to form the best runs and perfecting jumps on a couple of them! One thing that was kind of weird to us was the bugs that were still alive in the cabin...flies and moths were still hanging around, and we even killed a wasp while cooking one night...the flies were mostly around the windows, but it was still kind of gross. The other thing was that we didn't have to use chains the whole way across the pass, but as soon as we took the last turn to get to the property, we had to chain up to get the last 500 feet, so if you are coming up here in the snow, beware! :) Let's just say we were glad we had already done our grocery shopping and happy to not have to leave to go anywhere until we left. This would not in any way dissuade us from going to this property was definitely worth it, and we would do it again in an instant! Thank you so much...we definitely made some memorable family memories!
Hi Carrie,Thanks for the great review! We appreciate it. We love the sledding run as well!We hope to see you again in the near future. Thanks,Kevin & Wendie

Wonderful deck with terrific view. Some of the trees now are beginning to block the view though. Would suggest trimming or cutting down the trees before they get too large. We spent a lot of time on the deck
Hi Don,I'm glad you enjoyed it! The deck is a great gathering spot during the summer. We hope you come back to stay with us again.Sincerely,Kevin & Wendie

The Alpine lodge was a great retreat for the weekend - and so close to the city. Thanks to the management company for leaving the lights on for us for our late arrival. Beautiful views, comfortable beds and couches a full basement with games and media and a gourmet kitchen to boot. Will likely return.
Hey Bob,Thanks for the great review! We appreciate you staying with us and we hope to see you again.Sincerely, Kevin & Wendie

"Sledding hill is awesome"

The Alpine Lodge was perfect for our family getaway. It was very clean and comfortable and plenty of beds. Even though there wasn't a lot of snow there was still enough to use the sledding hill. It doesn't look that high but you sure could build up speed and it had fun bumps.
We would recommend that if anyone is planning on sleeping on the hide-a-bed that they bring an air mattress to put on top. It would have been nice to have some cabinet space in the kitchen to put our non-perishable foods as we had to set them on the counters which didn't leave much room to work. But other than that our stay was wonderful and we would recommend it as a great family place to stay.
Hi Blake,Thanks for the great review! We appreciate it. We are going to bring in a queen air mattress for guests to use in place of the Hide-a-bed. We agree that it is very uncomfortable. We hope to see you again soon!-Kevin & Wendie

We rented the place for 3 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. There were four couples and we had plenty of room and privacy. The lodge is just beautiful, and the photos don't really demonstrate how nice the place is. This was a perfect getaway from Seattle over the holiday. The kitchen was great for cooking a traditional turkey dinner.
Hi Amy,Thanks for all the STARS! We really appeciate it. We hope to see you again soon.Sincerely, Kevin & Wendie

Lighted sledding hill was awesome; there was snow! View and fireplace amenities lovely. Thanks for having a lighted Christmas tree and decorations - it was magical. Lots of sleeping spaces, however pull-out queen sleeper sofa in basement unusable. Game area, TV, and family stuff super. Need additional hand towels and wash rags; sufficient bath towels for family of 13. Well water good tasting but hard (suspect affecting low frig water flow and poor coffee maker.)
Hi Allan,Thanks for the great review! I'll check into the sleeper sofa and the coffee maker. Thanks for staying with us!Sincerely,Kevin

driveway was really hard to get up. The gravel was really loose. Also, downstairs in the little hideaway room where the shop vac is there was rasins all over the floor when we got there. I'm not sure if the kids cleaned that up since they were down there.
Hi Kim,Thanks for all the STARS! The driveway was just re-graveled and I agree that it needs to be compacted again. Thanks for the heads up on the raisins in the storage closet. We hope to see you again soon!Kevin

Positices:Beautiful house, great location. Awesome star gazing off the front deck in the evening. Negatives: Some construction noise from a nearby house being built and half the lightbulbs in main living room vaulted ceiling were burnt out and the grill
had to be cleaned to even use.
Hi Kim,Thanks for the review! I'm sorry about the BBQ. We will double check next time. The track lighting is a little tricky. There's two seperate switches for each track. Half the bulbs are operated by each switch. We hope to see you again soon!-Kevin and Wendie
