A spacious dining area is furnished with a stylish white round table and designer chairs, perfect for holding dinner parties. Guests can enjoy dining ‘alfresco’ with a romantic breakfast or afternoon tea area overlooking the lake and the 300 year old church, the inspiration of many an artist..
A sunny lawn provides guests with a delightful spot where they can enjoy a picnic or a glass of wine or they can relax under the sun with a good book on one of the sun loungers provided next to the swimming pool, both offer the perfect excuse for plenty of relaxation and enjoyment of the stunning lake views.
The property interior further boasts a chic and tasteful master bedroom furnished with elegant white minimalist furniture and a comfortable double bed. There is also a comfortable double sofa bed in the living area, ideal for one or two young children or another couple, as well as another sofa that can be converted into a single bed.

So you will have plenty to keep you occupied on a rainy day, when the lake takes on a surreal new beauty.
A contemporary well-fitted bathroom provides guests with a shower, wash basin, WC and bidet, easily accessible to those sleeping in the living room via the master bedroom.
A private secure parking space is included with the rental of the property and the local village amenities are all within walking distance. The tree-lined lakefront and park provides the ideal place to leisurely enjoy a relaxed morning or afternoon picnic and the famous Volta museum, historical Spanish Quarter and the palatial Villa Olmo which provides a year round calendar of excellent art exhibitions will keep culture vultures more than satisfied.
There is also an excellent selection of restaurants and the vibrant city nightlife is also well worth experiencing during your stay.
For the best panoramic views of the lake visitors are recommended to take the charming Funicular railway from Como up to the mountainside to Brunate.
Como provides excellent transport links as well with two mainline stations linking to Milan (and Malpensa Airport) and into Switzerland, plus a fast and frequent ferry service, a main lake road with convenient bus service and a modern motorway leading to the wider Lombardy region and to Switzerland's fourth largest city of Lugano, capital of the Canton of Ticino.
Guests can easily enjoy Lake Como at their leisure by exploring the famous golden triangle towns of Bellagio (which is only a 30 minute drive away), Menaggio and Varenna, the elegant dream like villas and gardens, hiking or cycling in the Triangolo Larioso, enjoying an unhurried romantic dinner nearby the property or in Como and also enjoying the wide variety of activities on Lake Como, which include swimming, sailing, power boat hire, sea plane adventures, tennis, golf, hiking, cycling, windsurfing, chartered yacht hire and quad biking.
The Lake Como area is a year-round destination. The city is a Christmas shopper's haven, renowned for its imaginative gift shops and designer stores, also its bustling street markets. It is a happening place at any time of the year. The weather in the spring and autumn is usually very settled, the temperatures are comfortable both day and night, ideal for walking and cycling. The skies are deep blue and with the flowers blooming or the leaves turning, the area is a feast for the eyes in both seasons. And nowhere more so than the view from our property, which ranges from the mesmering to the intoxicating. Please come and enjoy.

My wife Claudia and me, have spent 7 wonderful days in August 2014 at Faggeto Fantastico in Faggeto Lario. Everything was so excellent as we expected it before coming. The location is unique - Close to the water and an amazing view on the lake and the mountains around it. And another thing which was very important for us was the silence and the piece. The apartment was very cozy, there was everything that we needed for a comfortable life. We will never forget the view from our bedroom. Every morning when we woke up the first thing that we saw was a dark blue lake and a green mountain on the opposite side. Unforgettable! Some good local restaurants we could reach by walking in 5-10 minutes which offer fresh fish and amazing homemade pasta. Thank you very much for it! Summing up we would recommend Faggeto Fantastico for everybody who appreciates comfort, good food around and a quiet and friendly atmosphere.

A great place to stay and perfect for exploring Lake Como

It says it all in the title. Secluded gated complex with outdoor swimming pool, lovely grounds, and designated parking. Well appointed apartment with its own terrace a couple of minutes walk from a bar, great restaurant, beach and ferry stop. It has an amazing view up Lake Como to the mountains; I doubt whether Mr Clooney has a better one.
Personally i would not bother to drive anywhere as the ferries are quicker, and less stressful. If you like hiking then you can go up the lakeside hills and walk along the top to Como or Bellagio.
We had a great time here and saw most of the sights of Lake Como . I especially liked Villa Carlotta and the funicular from Como Town. Thank you, Nick for a great holiday!

Fantastic views and a great location. The apartment is incredibly well furnished and equipped; the owner has thought of everything. Our daughter found the sofa bed very comfortable. Great selection of books and Dvds. A short drive to either Como or Bellagio. The restaurant "Vapore" is directly below; excellent service and very reasonable prices.

Even before we left for Faggeto Lario, I felt secure in the knowledge that this was going to be a great place for a couple to spend a week on Lake Como. Nick's attention to detail in his visitors' guide was invaluable in guiding us into the residence and to the apartment and for providing local information. As we arrived late in the evening, it was dark which added to excitement of taking the funicular down to the apartment. When my partner saw the beautiful pool lit up, he exclaimed 'I'm in a James Bond film.'
The view from the apartment is stupendous and a perfect place to while away the hours, whilst absorbing the beauty of Lake Como. Everything you need is in the apartment, including an eclectic DVD collection and an Italian cookery book which I used to perfect bruschetta with tomatoes and basil. We worked through the DVD whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two. We had an enjoyable meal at Il Vapore where the staff were incredible friendly. Never before have I been served a dessert where you add your own vodka. We also recommend the beach bar where there was live music on Friday evenings. The apartment was perfectly located for catching the ferry or taking the bus to Bellagio and Como. We also enjoyed the walking opportunities the Como area has to offer. We would certainly recommend Nick's apartment to anyone who wants a relaxing and calm holiday where you can happily read a book, whilst sunning yourself by the pool, or spend time exploring Lake Como and its surroundings.

We recently stayed four nights with our two young sons at this modern apartment in a fantastic location. The owner is very helpful and provides plenty of advice and assistance prior to your arrival.
The apartment itself is perfect - every thing is catered for, and it is very modern and appealing, and has a most spectacular view right over Lake Como. You will not be disappointed. There is an outdoor setting for your exclusive use which we used daily for breakfast, afternoon nibbles and drinks. The view is amazing and absorbing. Not only when you sit on the outdoor setting but also when you open the shutters. it is exactly like the pictures, no trick photography!
The apartment is very spacious for a 1 bedroom, and light and bright.
Our two children slept on the lounge suite fold out couch which was spacious and comfortable.
I especially liked the little touches in the apartment - Dvds for adults and the kids, maps & suggestions for the area, basic food staples, a local phone, and especially wi-fi. The pool is excellent and was most suitable for our children as it had a shallow end that was decent in size for them to play in. There are plenty of sun beds and the view from the pool area is superb. You could easily spend the day here. The gardens surrounding the apartments are beautiful, shady and well maintained.
The location of the apartment is fantastic. It is a short walk (less than 5 mins) down to the lake, the ferry stop, the bus stop to Bellagio and Como, and an excellent Restaurant 'Vapore', with tasty Italian fare and excellent service and hospitality.
I must also mention that the apartment and its complex/gardens/pool are also very secure with locked gates.
We hope to return one day soon, and highly recommend this apartment.

Located in Faggato Lario, we took the elevator down to a lovely walkway
to our apartment. It felt like a secluded and private hideaway. Yet from the porch, sipping our prosecco, we gazed at the expansive views of Lake Como with the steep hills and beautiful light.
The apartment was modern, yet warm decor, and very clean with the comforts of home for cooking, wifi and music. There is a great pool up the walkway.
Wonderful restaurant, La Vapore, within walking distance and a fun cafe with a small beach area...
Thank you Nick and Patricia, who was very helpful at the beginning of our stay.

My husband and I stayed here in May and had an absolutely wonderful time. We were wanting some R & R and came home very much revived. The owner, Nick, had sent us detailed information well in advance about the property and local area. Not long after our arrival the very helpful and friendly caretaker arrived to check we were safely installed. The apartment is situated within a and peaceful and private complex of apartments with the most beautiful grounds full of colourful flower beds, shrubs and lawns. The actual apartment we stayed in had large French doors opening onto a terrace and an uninterupted view of the lake (exactly as you see in the picture on this listing). The apartment is spacious, well appointed and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped if you feel like cooking. There is a lovely big shower in the bathroom. The bed has a good mattress (very important!) and there is plenty of storage space for clothes. The lounge area has a large television and DVD player and there is a library of Dvds and books to relax with of an evening. Don't worry about bringing tourist information - there is plenty in the apartment, including local maps. The complex has a wonderful swimming pool and lots of sun loungers. You also have access down a path and through a gate leading to the lake shore where there is a little beach with a cafe. There is also a very good restaurant where we ate on the last night and the food and service was superb. Bellagio is about half an hour's drive and a must to visit - don't miss the Villa Melzi and gardens and there are lots of shops and restaurants. It's also easy to get about the lake on the ferries that ply between various locations and we went to the town of Como in this way, which was easier than driving there. There is a ferry point just a few minutes drive from the apartment and you can leave your car there for the day. It is difficult to find anything negative to say about our experience!

Our week long stay at Riva in June this year, was the icing on the cake, after our travels in Tuscany and the amalfi Coast. The apartment was a surprise treat...with stylish, fully fitted, comfortable interiors, natural light and uninterrupted views of the mountains, lake and the heritage church of Fagetto Lario. The doors of the condo apartment opened to the sitout view, beautiful flower gardens and walkways, which made the apartment feel more like a private cottage - a home away from home. With the added advantage of a swimming pool overlooking the lake - just a few steps away.
The bedroom was perfect for my parents, whilst the queen size sofa bed in the living area (large enough for two), was quite grand for me. In addition, there was a three seater sofa in the living area with a 42" TV, a CD collection of new movies and dreamy old classics, which we thoroughly enjoyed, one rainy day. The large dining table played a dual role for our computer workstations too!
A 5 minute walk down from the apartment brings one to a sunny little beach with its own bar and snacks served through the day...We were lucky to be present for their annual 'summer' open bar night of music and free snacks. The adjoining ristorante - Vapore, soon became our favourite haunt for their local fish specialities and the delicious Spaghetti alle Vongole!
The location of the property was really convenient with the bus stop right near the entrance - giving us easy links to Como and Bellagio. The ferry stop too, connected us to the picturesque towns of Cernobbio, Bellagio, Varenna with ease.
But really what made our holiday was the super chic comfort of the home apartment, its incredible views, and a huge feel good factor of the space which can only be experienced. Patrizia, the caretaker was wonderful - always helping us with a smile and genuine enthusiasm. Thank you so much for a truly relaxed and wonderful stay. We are already planning our next visit!

We arrived at night so opening the curtains the following morning was a lovely surprise. One of the great pleasures about the property is sitting in the gardens watching the lake traffic, especially the flying boats - redolent of a bygone luxury age.
Torno is a convenient spot because you are on the middle 'tongue' of the lake but with access to the east and west shores via the (car)ferries from Bellagio - so you avoid the heavy lakeside traffic. Take your boots because the area is renowned for its walking trails and' because of the steepness of the sides, the views are wonderful.
The other fun feature of the development is the funicular lift from the car park to the pool and gardens which means the flat is sheltered from road sounds.
There is a small beach down at water level some four minute walk where there is also a restaurant we used three times in a week

Fantastico has the most wonderful view of Lake Como. It is so easy to sit with a book and a glass of wine and watch the changing scenes of the lake through the day and into the evening. We have been on many villa holidays over many years and can honestly say we have never been to a better venue. Nick has thought of all the needs of the guests in his really sumptuous apartment. The restuarant below has good food and friendly service. Overall first rate

Set in lush green private gardens cascading down from the lakeshore road, this one-bedroom apartment is distinguished by the stunning views over Lake Como, best enjoyed from the breakfast table or - even better - from the garden table and chairs outside on the patio. Visiting in October, out of season, we had a very quiet and private stay and could enjoy the gardens and views without interruption or disturbance. Our only complaint was that the very inviting-looking blue water was too cold for swimming in October: it was very much a case of "look but don't touch!"
