House was not ready nor clean hours after we were suppose to he allowed in. Flies were insane, pool is a little small and hot tub placement in the front yard makes zero sense. Don't get me wrong the house is nice. But you can easily tell its not privately owned and just rented out every week. It doesn't seem cared for too well. Last year we rented a privately owned house in Duck that was managed by this same company and it was much nicer. I would for sure use Resort Reality again as they were great but would have a hard time fully backing this property. Except the location and Kitchen, the house is average. But again, the service and attention is great that you receive from this company.
Daniel, thank you for taking your time to fill out a review for this home. While it pleases us to hear that you are repeat guest and were happy with our service, it does disturb us to hear that the home was not ready nor clean upon your arrival. Please accept our sincere apologies for that! We strive for nothing less than perfection and in this case we seemed to have missed the mark. Now that it was brought to our attention, when can work on a proactive solution so this does not happen again. As for the hot tub, we will make a suggestion to the owner to see if it would possible to re-position the hot tub so that it makes more sense for their guest's use.

House is beautiful and spacious. Plenty to do. This house is located just across the street from the beach road and very close to the dock on the sound.
Monteray Shores has a large community pool very close to the house. Shopping at 24 hr grocery store was great and very close. No crowds late at night.
Pool table had many players at all hrs. Kids loved the pool, piano and hot tub.
Diningroom has a very large table to accommodate all and kitchen is unbelievable!
Elevator for handicapped and ease of carrying things to third floor.
Loved this house and would definitely go back. That was the unanimous decision of 15 people.

I will say that we arrived at 1:00 to check in, and the house keeper was still there, she was there until 3:45. We were not very happy. The house is very nice.
The kitchen was missing some cooking items, but we did love cooking in it. There are no King Beds, I did know this going in, but the rooms are large enough to hold them. This was our first time staying on the sound side. We will go back to ocean side. Crossing 12 proved difficult at times. Not all cars respected the crossing signs.

I have already written one review, but since I like this place I will write another one.
This house is very accommadating and comfortable. The kitchen is heaven and the rental people are very polite and courteous. The only problem we have had for the 2 years we have stayed here is that I pay the fee for a heated pool and have to call on day 2 to have the pool guy come out and turn it on. On this past visit we had to recall in the middle of the week and have it turned back on as it had turned off. This is not a cheap fee and it is a little annoying to have to ask for something that we paid for.
Other than that we love the house and can't wait to come back next year!!!
We are sorry you had to call to have the pool heat turned on. We make every effort to notify the outside or owner preferred vendors in advance. Thank you for letting us know, and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

When we arrived to the property, we were greeted by the "caretakers". One of which was cleaning the property and the other sitting on the couch watching TV. The one who had cleaned the property gave us a tour and was very nice. She informed us that the kitchen sink was clogged and the rental company was sending someone out. That was only the beginning of the issues. We had to lug our dishes down two flights to wash them for two days. No one seemed to be able to fix the clog. After 4 plumbers and 2 days, we eventually had a functioning sink. The next day, the aC on the top floor (the main living area) stopped cooling. Two people from the rental company and explained that "heat rises" and that it was OK. I explained that I understood that heat rises, but that it is unacceptable for the main living area to be 82 degrees and for the aC to be running non-stop for 24 hours. He was rude and said that he would send out someone else. The issue was never resolved, but luckily the next two days is poured down rain, so the temperature on the main level was only about 78 degrees. Two days before we left, the aC in the Master Suite on the second floor stopped working. We called the company again and they sent someone out. The fan rusted out of the aC and they needed to order a part and it could not be fixed until after were were going to be gone. Upon speaking to the manager at Resort Realty, she said she would email the owner to see about compensation for our poor experience, but like every other time they said they would get back to me, they did not. We saved for this trip for months because we have a child with a disability and needed an elevator, but we would never stay here again. In addition, we will never stay with Resort Realty again. In addition, the toilets barely flushed, the freezer turned all our food bad, and the remote controls made no sense. Waste of money. Don't stay here.
We appreciate you taking the time to review "Cinnamon Heaven". We are not in the business to have folks unhappy while vacationing and do see where you were issued a refund. Granted it may not have been much but we wanted to let you know we take our guests concerns seriously and want them to come back. We hope your next visit to the Outer Banks will be more pleasant and relaxing.

The home 'Cinnamon Heaven' is beautiful built and located in a desirable neighborhood. It is spacious, bright and nicely decorated. The upstairs area is delightful with a separate dining, family, and kitchen area along with master bedroom suite.
The outdoor pool is a perfect compliment to the Clubhouse and beach,
offering plenty chairs, trees and privacy.
Our only nagging complaints were that on four separate occasions we
had to have service people dispatched to address issues with a/C (which never were completely satisfied), the primary cable box on the TV in the
upstairs room where the family spent time (took three days), and a dying refrigerator that would make ice, nor keep items totally chilled. (a supplemental freezer is in the upstairs indicating that they must know there is a problem). In all cases, Resort Reality was very quick and respectful to respond; but having an issue every day of the trip, made the experience less than ideal.
Cinnamon Heaven is unique and comfortable. We are sorry you had some problems with appliances. At this time, the refrigerator has been repaired, and the owner added an extra freezer in the kitchen. Sometimes when folks bring games that need to be attached to the electronics the wires are not replaced as they should be and then we must try to get everything back in running order. We appreciate your patience and consideration and look forward to seeing you again next year!
