We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the villa.
The weather was perfect so we used the outdoor kitchen and dining every night. Favaloso! We arranged for a welcome dinner upon arrival and it was terrific. we had the same group come the next day and give us a cooking lesson. We wish we could have stayed longer. The property was really beautiful. Could have stayed on the property and painted for a month without leaving.
We thought that we could walk to a village and perhaps have coffee in the morning, etc. That was not possible. We did rent cars and we really needed them. The train station is too far to walk to.
Loved the surrounding area. Visited Cortona twice and many vineyards in the area. Il Falconiere Vineyard was stunning and the tour was very interesting. There is a restaurant which looked terrific but didn't have reservation. Talked with others who said it was wonderful but very expensive dinner. All the vineyards we visited were really great. Should make reservations ahead of time.

We were very pleased with the property. I would say it exceeded our expectations.
Very large building and property with plenty of area for families to wander and run. Volleyball net, large pool area, table tennis and gazebo. The villa has an adjacent building – former pig ‘house’ – that has been converted into a second kitchen. For those dreaming of cooking up a storm while drinking wine in the afternoon, this is the perfect set up. Very well appointed with gourmet equipment and cooking tools. Villa is owned by local family and they were extremely accommodating and helpful, from the initial greeting through our entire stay.
The living room is furnished in a manner that is not very conducive for more than a small handful of people to lounge together. We were just a family of five, so it worked moderately well. However considering the villa sleeps up to 11 people, the room could be better arranged. While obviously a temporary issue, the villa behind the property was undergoing a major renovation, and as a result we experienced some construction noise at various points of our stay.
