PRIVATE STRUCTURE. With a 180Â° view of the Carpina Valley - an area set between the Upper Tiber Valley and the Umbria-Marche Apennine ridge where the Carpina river and its tributaries determine the succession of hills with alternating dense oak forests, vineyards and olive groves - reaching to the horizon, with the eye encountering no obstacle, stands the Casale di Greta. An old farmhouse which in the 1940s was used for the cultivation and drying of tobacco, it is today an exquisitely renovated house. Thanks to its singular tower, the structure presents an animated architecture, accentuated even more by its two types of faĂ§ade: in stone that of the oldest part of the building and plastered that of the recent extension. Indoors, the use of soft colours, for both the furniture and the upholstery, and the many items in wood confer a warm and gentle atmosphere, illuminating the entire house in which the spaces are functional and used in the best way possible, for a unique experience. The proximity of fast roads, like the E45, and the good geographical position, provide excellent conditions for venturing out to explore the towns of green Umbria, such as Perugia or Assisi, or simply to drive around, looking for picturesque views to immortalise.

Il Casale di Greta has three floors, two of which are connected, internally via a brick staircase, and externally with a stone staircase. The main entrance is located on the first floor, which is reserved entirely to the sleeping area, consisting of two double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower, one with panoramic terrace, and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with tub and shower, also with terrace. Going down to the lower floor we come to the luminous living room (with two French windows leading out to the portico with outdoor seating area) with dining area and large kitchen with panoramic window. From the living room a small corridor leads to the ground floor sleeping area with a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and small veranda with stone arches, a study with double sofa bed and adjacent bathroom with shower, laundry room and toilet. The tower, which constitutes the second floor and is reached from the hallway at the main entrance via a wooden staircase, consists of a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.
A white gravel driveway, lined with large barrels, leads to the spacious parking area, both covered and uncovered, in front of the main entrance of the house, surrounded by an 8000 sq m olive grove and a 400 sq m vineyard and with a well-tended and assorted garden. Sipping a good glass of wine on the patio you will be intoxicated by the scent of the herbs adorning it - thyme, lemon balm, rosemary as well as lavender and roses which flourish in the fertile soil. Sitting in the shade of the gazebo, set up for outdoor dining, guests can enjoy the many fresh, seasonal products thanks to the fruit trees and small vegetable garden, situated in terracing at a higher level than the house, which are at the complete disposal of the guests.
The pool is located on the same level as the house, just a few metres away, and is visible from the kitchen and from one of the first-floor terraces. The rectangular pool measures 5 x 10 m, with a depth ranging from 1,20 m to 2,50 m; it has chlorine purification and is lined in PVC. A large sunbathing area, paved in stone and equipped with cold and hot water shower and sunbeds, surrounds the panoramic pool; there is both internal and external lighting and semi-circular Roman steps for access to the water. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday of October.

Five minutes away is Montone, a small medieval town, ready to satisfy history and art aficionados, who can visit the old fortress of Rocca d'Aries or the soaring Torre Civica; outdoor lovers can take guided tours to explore the Upper Tiber Valley and capture the sounds and colours of a yet untouched nature. The proximity to the Montone exit of the E45 will allow you to take short day trips to explore Umbria and its wonders - Umbertide, CittĂ di Castello, Lake Trasimeno - as well as small Tuscan towns like Cortona and Montepulciano, all destinations within easy reach.
